(Minghui.org) Hanzhong City Intermediate People's Court tried four practitioners on March 17, 2015, and upheld the original sentences handed down on December 26, 2014. Ms. Du Shuhui was then sentenced to 8 years, Ms. Du Shuming to 7 1/2 years, Ms. Wang Xinlian to 3 1/2 years, and Ms. Zhang Xinyue to 3 years.

Their families were not notified of the trial. When one of their attorneys visited the court on March 23, he was ignored.

The families of the practitioners had not received any formal notification of the verdicts. They made inquiries at police departments and the courts, but received no information. They are very worried about the health and safety of the elderly ladies, who have suffered physical and mental tortures over the years.

Ms. Du Shuhui in particular, has epilepsy sequela, as a result of being tortured for two years and made to do forced labor in 2002. She was illegally arrested again on September 26, 2013. During the over one and a half years in Hantai Detention Center, she often suffered pain and spasms from gallstones. She could not eat, drink, or even sleep, and each attack lasted over ten days. She had four ultrasounds at three hospitals. The diagnoses were the same: her gallbladder is full of gallstones and does not secrete bile. Surgery was recommended, however she was denied being bailed out for medical treatment.

The families of the practitioners are filing complaints against the relevant departments for violation of judicial procedures.
