(Minghui.org) In the past 15 years of persecution, I have learned that if we study the Falun Dafa teachings well, our righteous thoughts will be strong. It follows that Teacher will protect us at all times and we naturally will have no fear while doing things to clarify the truth. That means we will be more effective in saving people.
I am 81 years old and started practicing Falun Dafa when I was 63. The presbyopia that had bothered me for 20 years disappeared, and my health has never been better. More importantly, I had finally found my purpose. My life has revolved around doing the three things Teacher asks of his disciples. Every day, I study at least three chapters of Zhuan Falun, the main teaching of Falun Dafa, along with other lectures by Teacher.
In my mind, there is only the Falun Dafa teachings and no fear. I know Teacher's Fashen will protect me as long as I have righteous thoughts. When all the Fa study groups were disbanded because of the persecution, I started one in my home. The number of practitioners who participated in it has increased to about 30 over the years. We share experiences and also make and store Falun Dafa materials at my place.
I don't worry about getting caught by the authorities when I distribute information about the persecution. I post fliers in places with the most foot traffic, such as offices and bulletin boards of the courthouses or procuratorates.
A new shopping center was built in my neighborhood, and I put up large posters that read “Falun Dafa is good” “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” on either side of the front entrance. On the day of the grand opening, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials gave speeches and activities were held in front of a large crowd. The next day, the event was on the news, but so were my posters.
Once when I talked to a retired police officer about the persecution, he asked me to help him quit the CCP and its affiliates. He then called his former employer and said, “Stop deducting Pary membership fee from my pension from next month on. I quit.”
