(Minghui.org) Four Falun Gong practitioners, Mr. Wang Zhengli, Ms. Wang Juzhen, Ms. Li Xiaoling and Ms. Bi Jinmei, from Songming County, who were illegally arrested in 2014, are scheduled to be tried on April 10, 2015. The practitioners have been detained far beyond the legally permitted time.
Family visits have been denied, though the practitioners' lawyers were allowed to see them.
The Xundian County Procuratorate issued an official arrest notice on September 18, 2014. Mr. Wang is being detained in the Xundian County Detention Center, and the other three practitioners in the Kunming City Detention Center.
To avoid a public outcry and justify the unlawful detention of practitioners, the area's legal and justice departments distributed fliers throughout the county, even in kindergartens and elementary schools. The intent was to turn the public against the practitioners and to scare off their supporters.
Furthermore, the families of the practitioners have been harassed by the 610 Office since the arrests to prevent them from hiring attorneys.
