(Minghui.org) After I started practicing Falun Dafa, I no longer payed sole attention to my own self-interest. Instead, I came to realize the importance of putting others first, especially those who do not know the truth about the Chinese regime's persecution of Dafa.
Consequently, I keep in mind how much I want to help people awaken to the truth and bring them a wonderful future. And when our righteous thoughts are strong, Master Li Hongzhi (the founder of Falun Dafa) will help protect practitioners in all types of situations.
I would like to share some of my personal experiences.
Starting Cultivation Practice
My daughter helped me open a wholesale business after the persecution began on July 20, 1999. While chatting with my landlord one day, I learned that she practiced Falun Dafa, which helped people to cure their illnesses and keep fit.
Although millions of people practiced Falun Dafa, they were suddenly facing a lot of pressure at that time. I told her that I was a student during the Cultural Revolution, when many good teachers were prosecuted and jailed. I recognized the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) evil nature then, so even though the government slandered and persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners, it did not mean that those people were bad.
The landlord then gave me a copy of Master Liۥs teachings titled Zhuan Falun. I read the book with an open mind, and found that it taught the principles I had searched for my entire life. I got answers to so many questions that I was not clear about before.
At that point, all of my illnesses vanished, and my outlook on life underwent a complete transformation.
Avoiding Arrest with Master's Protection
The day before I planned to attend a party at my brother's new house, I visited my parents nearby. I believed it was a good opportunity to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to a lot of people. So, I carried a bag of informational materials and called my niece to help me distribute them. Since my niece was familiar with the area, we distributed a lot of pamphlets.
On the following day, about 100 people came to my brother's party. Some of the guests were easy to approach, and a lot of them accepted the materials. They were shocked when reading about the government's secret order to murder practitioners for the sale of their organs for profit.
I stayed at my parents' home that night, and early the next morning, around 4 a.m., I seemed to hear someone say, “Leave quickly. Don't sleep. Trouble will come.” I enlightened that Master gave me a hint to leave. I left my parents' and made it home safely.
My parents told me later that police had surrounded all villages in that area, and were searching door-to-door. They also knocked on my brother's door.
Fortunately, I often talked to my father about Falun Dafa, and he also read the materials I gave him. My family members have also submitted their withdrawals from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
My Brother's Right Leg Saved
In October of the same year, my second youngest brother rode his motorized tricycle into a deep well covered with branches. He incurred a comminuted fracture on his right leg, and the initial prognosis called for an amputation.
I knew only Falun Dafa could save him. I whispered to my brother: “I know it is very painful. Recite quickly 'Falun Dafa is good' and 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.' Don't stop.” He kept reciting. His pale face gradually turned rosy.
As long as there was even slim hope, my family begged the doctor not to amputate his leg. We all recited “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” outside of the surgery room.
The surgery lasted one hour and 40 minutes. The doctor came out and said, “It's a miracle, miracle. We succeeded.” My brother’s leg was saved, and the doctor took a piece of bone from his back and grafted it onto his leg. Many people witnessed the miracle, and the hospital kept his X-ray film for teaching material.
My sister-in-law said it was a miracle from Dafa, and my brother told everyone that his right leg was saved by Master. All of his other family members then started to practice Falun Dafa.
My Mother Given a Second Life
My mother suffered from acute angina pectoris when my brother had his accident. She could not straighten her back due to pain. I took her to a county hospital, and the doctor told me that her condition could be fatal.
The hospital had no bed for my mother at that time, so since my home was close by, the doctor agreed to come to my home and put her on an IV until the hospital had an available bed.
I stayed with my mother the first day and played audio tapes of Master Li's lectures for her. After the doctor left on the second day, I left to prepare some food for my mother. I then heard her call out my name, so I returned. “I saw a tall man, wearing a blue suit and white shirt, smiling at me,” she said.
“There was a flower pot on the floor. This man pointed at my mouth and placed a bloody, thumb-size tooth into my right hand and had me look. He then took the tooth away and placed it into the pot and disappeared.”
I saw my mother’s right hand had a bit of blood on it. I was so grateful and knelt down and I thanked Master in tears. I told my mom: “You are so lucky. Master personally took out the root of your illness and eliminated your karma. It was a reward for you and father’s willingness to protect Dafa practitioners and for holding Dafa in high regard.” My gratitude to Master was beyond words.
My mother has been very healthy since then, even though she is close to 80 years old. She now tells everyone that Master Li gave her a second life. She also helps me clarify the truth about Falun Dafa.
“Quit the CCP—party membership cannot be used as food and cannot stave off disaster,” she says. “If you quit, you can protect your life and receive great blessings.”
