(Minghui.org) “The number of Chinese people who have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations has reached nearly 200 million.”

The Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP, whose headquarters is in Flushing, New York, wished to share and celebrate this news with spectators of Chinese New Year parade held in Flushing on February 21, 2015.

With a lion dance taking the lead, a beautifully decorated float, and a spirited waist drum troupe bringing up the rear, volunteers of the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP were warmly received by the crowd.

“Happy New Year!” “Very Good!” “Beautiful!” could be heard from the enthusiastic spectators in response to the Quit-the-CCP procession.

“As active members of the Flushing community, volunteers of the Service Center for Quitting the CCP have participated in the Chinese New Year parade for many years,” said Ms. Yi Rong, president of the service center.

Ms. Yi also stated that a growing number of Chinese people have renounced their memberships in the CCP and its affiliated organizations with the help of volunteers at tourist attractions worldwide during their overseas trips.

Twenty-seven Chinese people joined the movement and renounced their Party memberships during the 45-minute parade. They readily agreed when volunteers explained to them the significance of quitting the Party.

Many who had already quit the Party encouraged those who were hesitant, “Be sure not to miss such a good opportunity. They are out here in the freezing cold for your sake, for you to have a safe future.”

Parade spectator Mr. Liu Shunqi, a doctor of the former Guangdong Province People's Hospital in China, said that many of his colleagues who came abroad for study have witnessed the freedom and democracy outside of China, and had expressed disdain for the communist regime.

Mr. Liu believed that if a Quit-the-CCP parade were to be held in China, a large number of Chinese citizens would participate. There might be millions, he said.

“This is the people's strength. No one can stop people from standing up for what's right,” Jessica, a Flushing resident, commented.

Background

The series of editorials, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party published by the Chinese Epoch Times in November 2004, triggered a global movement of quitting the Chinese Communist Party.

More and more Chinese people have seen through the evil nature of the party over the past ten years, and decided to withdraw from the party and its affiliated organizations. They severed all ties with this tyrant that has been responsible for the death of 80 million Chinese people during its rule.

As of February 2015, the number of people who have submitted withdrawals has reached 194 million.
