(Minghui.org) I am a government employee. I always perform my job assignments in strict conformance with Dafa's standards. In accord with what Master Li (the founder of Falun Dafa) teaches us, I don't chase after personal gain.
Master said,
“….. these workers have been coming to work early and going home late. They work very diligently and will do any assignment the boss gives. They also no longer compete for personal gain. (Zhuan Falun Lecture 4)
Validating the Fa at Work
I have rotated across positions in almost every department at my workplace. Sometimes I work independently, while other times I team up with my co-workers. Once in a while I also need to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Regardless of the nature of each project, I am always able to get it done well.
My stellar job performance and my sincerity towards everyone earned me the trust and respect of my supervisors and co-workers. They were very receptive when I told them that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is plain wrong in persecuting Falun Gong. Most of them have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
I was promoted to an important position last year. My supervisor asked me to take charge of reviewing, approving, and managing land development projects. I was happy to accept this challenge because it provided me opportunities to offer salvation to a new set of people.
I have provided the best service to contractors in the various projects. I clearly explained to them the policies and procedures and helped them solve problems within my capacity. They appreciated my help and tried to offer me cash, gift certificates and other things. But I politely declined their offers.
I told them: “I am a Dafa practitioner. I follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be a good person and to always do the right thing. Although I do not accept your gifts, I will still provide you the best service. I hope you remember that 'Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.' You will be blessed when you understand the facts about Falun Dafa. You will be saved if you quit the CCP.”
Most of them have quit the CCP at this point.
Providing Technical Support to Fellow Practitioners
Master requests us “....to find ways to do better, to be more efficient, to have a greater impact, and to save more people” (“2007 Fa Teaching at the U.S. Capital”).
I am always learning new skills that are needed for Fa-validation, in order to save people. From years of experience, I have come to recognize: “When we have the wish and righteous thought to establish a new project or new technique in order to validate the Fa and save sentient beings, Master always helps us. Our wisdom will improve and our path of salvation will be wider.”
I learned most of my technical skills from a practitioner-run technology forum website. The forum provides information on typesetting and printing Falun Dafa materials, installing software, sending text messages using smart phones, and editing audio and video files. I have utilized these techniques to help set up truth-clarification materials production sites, and to provide technical support to fellow practitioners.
Providing technical support seems to be my prehistoric vow. In addition to the skills that I acquired from the forum, Master made arrangements for me to obtain other needed knowledge. My undergraduate major in Chinese has served me well in writing and editing articles. A friend of mine once taught me how to do wedding video editing. A few years back, I learned a lot from a colleague who happened to be a computer expert. I now have another friend who runs his own computer repair shop, and I can often look to him when I encounter hardware problems.
Cherishing Every Precious Minute
The website Minghui.org is my main information source. I download articles and read them after work every day to keep updated on the progress of Fa-rectification and avoid going astray from the Fa.
Master said:
“So many years have passed over the course of history, the Three Realms have existed for so long, and so many sentient beings have come here over time, but all hopes are being placed in this one moment out of all the ages. This instant is precious beyond measure. Master has encouraged Dafa disciples to cherish every precious minute that we have during the Fa-rectification period. My time is really short. With a busy schedule, I have to make good use of every second. I make truth-clarifying materials on weekdays. On weekends, I either go out to tell people about Falun Gong or visit fellow practitioners to solve their technical problems.
I often skip meals because of being so busy when I provide technical support to fellow practitioners. In order to save time for Fa-validation, I often grab a quick bite after I return home.
By Master's arrangement, my office is within walking distance from home. I sometimes go home during break times to reload my printers. This way I am able to make more truth-clarification materials during the work week.
Being Cognizant of Cell Phone Security
Maintaining cell phone security to avoid being monitored is imperative. Every practitioner should be more vigilant. Minghui.org has reported many painful lessons caused by practitioners' carelessness when using cell phones.
I do not use a cell phone when doing Falun Dafa related tasks. If I need to contact fellow practitioners, I will go to their home or ask their relatives to find them. I will not give out my phone number or keep theirs in my cell phone.
Proud to Be a Fa-rectification Disciple
Although I am very busy, I am happy every day. I am proud to be a Fa-rectification period disciple who follows the standards of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I am proud of the fact that despite the persecution, Dafa disciples are still clarifying the facts with great compassion and forbearance. It is my greatest honor and good fortune to be Master's disciple.
I will keep Master's teachings in mind. I will maintain the state of cultivation. I will study the Fa diligently and save more people persistently. I will not be unworthy of Master's compassionate salvation and the people's expectations.
