(Minghui.org) Somehow the local police obtained information about the practitioners in our area who have sued former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin. Officers went to the practitioners' homes to question them. Many practitioners were not prepared, yet they stayed calm and explained to the police why Falun Gong was persecuted.
When they were asked why they sued Jiang, some practitioners read their criminal complaints to the officers. Their letters included how they have benefited physically and mentally from practicing Falun Dafa, the persecution they and their families have endured, and the bloody crimes of Jiang Zemin and the 610 Office.
Most of the police officers listened in silence. Some had very sympathetic countenances when they about heard the brutal torture of practitioners. Some even had tears in their eyes.
“Every sentence I just read is true,” said one practitioner. “This is the indictment I mailed to the supreme court and supreme procuratorate. I would be committing a crime, perjury, if I had lied. Please believe me that Falun Dafa practitioners are good and innocent people. When you receive orders from your superiors that go against your conscience, you must listen to your conscience!”
The practitioner told the officers how Falun Dafa has spread widely around the world and that Jiang has been sued in more than 30 countries. She also told them about how peaceful practitioners were during the April 25, 1999, appeal to the central government, which Jiang used as an excuse to launch the persecution. Finally, she explained how Jiang's henchmen had staged the self-immolation incident in 2001.
In another home, one of the officers asked about why practitioners started suing Jiang a few months ago. One of the practitioners explained that a new law, which was implemented on May 1, states, “every accusation will be accepted as the litigation rights of each person is protected.”
Another practitioner told the officers, “You all know how badly Jiang persecuted my family. He is the one I should sue.” When an officer asked him why he had not sued the officers who have been carrying out the persecution, the practitioner said that the officers are victims as well and are to be pitied. The officers smiled and left.
Three practitioners were sharing experiences in a practitioner's home when two officers came in. The practitioner whose home it was told the officers about how he has benefited from practicing Falun Dafa, and the two officers quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Another practitioner was always fearful when he clarified the facts and took action to save people. Police brought this practitioner and his spouse, who is also a practitioner, to the police station to question them about suing Jiang. The couple were separated into two rooms, and they each explained the truth about the persecution to whom they were with. After this incident, the practitioner eliminated the attachment of fear and spoke to people about the persecution with ease.
Directing the police officers to go to practitioners' homes to harass them regarding suing Jiang is also a form of persecution. When the police started to do this, even the weather became menacing. Low, black clouds covered the sky and a cold wind blew.
Local practitioners stayed calm and compassionate. They used their personal experiences to explain the facts to the police. Because of all the propaganda from the communist regime, many officers had twisted views about practitioners. However, after listening to practitioners' experiences, their negative views were eliminated and the officers came to understand Falun Dafa practitioners.
Many officers were also awed by the practitioners' courage during the many tragedies they had suffered. In most cases, the officers went from being inquisitors to sympathetic listeners. Most of them became gentle and no longer had an arrogant and aggressive attitude. Some even quit the CCP. The plan to use police to harass practitioners did not succeed. Instead, practitioners used the opportunity to save the police officers. Three days later, the weather became sunny.
We shared these experiences to encourage fellow practitioners, and we hope they will use their indictment letters as powerful tools if any police ask about their lawsuits against Jiang.
