Additional Persecution News from China – October 12, 2015 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 16 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Jiping and Mr. Gu Hejun Detained

Ms. Wang Jiping and Mr. Gu Hejun from Tongzhou the District were arrested by officers from the Tongzhou Domestic Security Division recently. Both practitioners are in the Tongzhou Detention Center.

Ms. Wang was held in labor camps and the Nanjing Women's Prison. While she was incarcerated, she was totally paralyzed.

2. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Xiuzhen, Ms. Zhang Hongyun, and Ms. Wang Junying were arrested when they were cleaning off posters that slandered Falun Gong on Xiangyang Road in the Weidu District. The arrests were carried out by plainclothes officers who were staked out there on the evening of October 10, 2015. The three practitioners were taken to the Xiguan Police Station. Their homes were ransacked.

Ms. Wang Junying and Ms. Zhang Hongyun, both in their 70s, were released at noon the following day. Ms. Wang Xiuzhen, in her 60s, remains in police custody.

3. [Zigong City, Sichuan Province] Nine Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Nine practitioners, who have been held for over a year, were sentenced to prison during a fifth trial held in the Ziliujing District Court on the morning of September 23, 2015.

Ms. Gao Shufen was sentenced to three years with three years of probation, Mr. Yan Xiang to one and a half years, Ms. Wu Xiurong to one year and four months, Ms. Liu Guirong to one year and three months, Ms. Peng Junying to one year and three months, and Mr. Wang Zhijian to one year.

Ms. He Shuhua, Mr. Wang Guangrong, and Mr. Chen Shulu were each sentenced to one year with one year of probation.

4. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Xiaolin Arrested

Ms. Li Xiaolin from the Changshou District was arrested by Fengzhan Police Station officers on September 21, 2015. Her husband was also taken to the police station. Ms. Li was handcuffed and detained over night. She was released the next afternoon. Liu, secretary, and Li, director, from the Jiqingjie Residential Committee went to the police station to bring her home.

5. [Longhui County, Hunan Province] Ms. Huang Qinglian and Ms. Wang Lijuan Arrested

Ms. Huang Qinglian and Ms. Wang Lijuan were arrested on the afternoon of October 8, 2015. Ms. Huang's home was ransacked.

6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Han Sufang, Ms. Liu Aimei, and Mr. Wang Fengcai from Yingnan Village in the Kuiwen District were arrested by officers from the Liyuan Police Station on October 10, 2015. The three practitioners have not yet returned home.

7. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Xue Hongxiang and Ms. Sun Shiying Detained

Ms. Xue Hongxiang from Yangjiawazi Village, Yangshulin Township, was arrested at home by officers from the Yangshulin Township Police Station on the morning of October 11, 2015. Ms. Sun Shiying, who was visiting, was also arrested. Both practitioners were held for 15 days of detention.

8. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Mr. Cui Dongxun Detained

Mr. Cui Dongxun, who is Korean, was arrested on October 10, 2015, by officers from the Xiegang Town Criminal Police Division for mailing a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. His home was ransacked. He is now in the Dalang Town Detention Center in Dongguan City.

9. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Geng Sufeng Detained

Ms. Geng Sufeng was recorded by surveillance cameras while posting Falun Gong informational materials recently. She was arrested and held in the Xindi Detention Center.

10. [Ya'an City, Sichuan Province] Four Elderly Practitioners Detained

Mr. Hu Jiaqi, 75; Ms. Wang Guangying, 78; Ms. Huang Xiuhua, 73; and Ms. Gan Yulian, 74, were arrested on June 26, 2015. Ms. Wang was held in the Duoying Detention Center for seven days and released. The other three remain in custody.
