(Minghui.org) My family suffered greatly after the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) seized power in China. When I was a child, the CCP robbed our family of all our property during the “land reform” movement.
I'm now 74 years old. My father died when I was very young. My mother raised five children on her own, living a hard life. I was labeled a “rightist” in college. Because I criticized the Party in my graduation thesis, my punishment was to be sent to teach in a school in a remote mountain region for 20 years.
In early 1999, one of my students introduced me to Falun Gong. I did not pay too much attention at the beginning. That July, the CCP launched the persecution against Falun Gong. I was shocked.
Having suffered under the Party's various political movements myself, I clearly empathized with Falun Gong practitioners. I was outraged at the Party which keeps persecuting innocent people. I thought: “Falun Gong must be good and soon everyone will know it.”
Perhaps because I was so sympathetic towards Falun Gong, I had more contact with practitioners and came to know more about the practice. I saw practitioners keep explaining what Falun Gong is, the facts about the CCP's persecution, and the consequences of the persecution, which has nothing to do with politics.
What the practitioners are doing is to establish a normal, healthy environment for everyone, an environment for everyone to peacefully live with righteousness and the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Most people do not realize this. They only see how kind and selfless the practitioners are. The more contact I have with practitioners, the more I respect Master Li (the creator of Falun Gong).
My family witnessed three miracles, which made me believe Master Li is a Buddha in this world.
1. My Nightmare Disappeared
For a period of time, I often had nightmares. Every time I woke up from a nightmare, I was so disturbed that I could not go back to sleep. I went to hospitals for check ups. Some of my old students were hospital directors or chiefs of medicine. They carefully checked me but found nothing wrong. My nightmares continued.
One of my former students was a Falun Gong practitioner. I mentioned my problem to him once. He told me to sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good”.
The next time when I was awakened by a nightmare, I recited, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” After I did it for about 20 times, the panic and bad feelings I usually suffered after nightmares disappeared. I was able to go back to sleep again.
That was five years ago. I haven't had a nightmare since.
2. Chest Pain Cured
After my mother died, our family members went to a nearby temple to burn incense every two weeks. Once when I was walking towards the temple, I suddenly had a sharp chest pain. I had difficulty breathing. I immediately started to recite "Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good".
When I recited the sixth time, the chest pain vanished and I could breath again. Four years have passed and it never recurred.
3. Master Li Saved My Wife
I visited our daughter two years ago, and my 65-year-old wife stayed home alone. She slipped in the shower one evening and fell. She hit the floor tiles heavily. She was dizzy and couldn't get up.
Luckily in her anxiety she remembered, and started to recite "Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good". As she kept reciting, she slowly stood up. She found herself uninjured, with only light pain where she hit the floor.
When we thought back about it, we were quite scared of the incident. We knew it was Master Li who helped her to resolve the disaster.
Over the decades, the CCP replaced China's 5,000 year old traditional divine culture with the communist culture. They do not allow people to believe in Gods and Buddhas; they only want people to believe in the CCP.
They've tried to sever the connection between Gods and humans. The three miracles my family experienced convinced me that Master Li is a Buddha in this world. I feel a connection to Gods. I thank Master Li from the bottom of my heart.
