(Minghui.org) Many male Falun Gong practitioners from Shandong Province have been illegally sentenced, and many are still being held in the No. 11 Ward of Shandong Province Prison.
The No. 11 Ward is dedicated to housing and torturing Falun Gong practitioners. Inmates serving time for serious crimes are selected to carry out the abuse of practitioners there.
Mr. Zhang Shengqi
Mr. Zhang Shengqi (张胜齐) from Laiyang City was held in a solitary confinement cell after being sent to the No. 11 Ward on May 13, 2014.
In attempts to force Mr. Zhang to give up his belief, Ward Head Li Wei and Deputy Political Head Chen Yan divided the inmates into three groups and ordered them to take turns abusing Mr. Zhang.
• The first round lasted from 6:00-11:30 a.m. No. 26 Team Head Yang Hongyou was in charge. He pretended to be kind to Mr. Zhang in an attempt to “transform” Mr. Zhang, step by step. He started by providing him with toothpaste, a toothbrush, and other daily necessities.• The second round was from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. No. 3 Team Head Wang Jiufu took the lead in persecuting Mr. Zhang psychologically.• The third round was from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Yao Yunxia, the head of inmates in the ward, and No. 23 Team Head Xiang Huaizhu, took the lead. They transferred Mr. Zhang to a room where they used various means in their attempt to “transform” him.
Mr. Zhang resisted everything they tried. He shouted “Falun Dafa is good!” and sang “Falun Dafa is Good” every day, even though the guards threatened to spray him with pepper spray.
Mr. Li Yunzhao
Mr. Li Yunzhao (李云召) from Xintai City was sent to the No. 11 Ward in 2012. No. 26 Team Head Yang Hongyou and former No. 13 Team Head Wang Kedong once beat him so viciously that they knocked out Mr. Li's three front teeth.
Mr. Zhang Xingwu
Mr. Zhang Xingwu (张兴武) from Jinan City was sent to the ward five years ago. He underwent a round of long-term “transformation” that lasted eight months—from late 2013 to August 2014.
Every day from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., the guards took turns brainwashing him. They repeated lies and fallacies over and over, and forced him to watch videos that slandered Falun Gong.
Two Other Practitioners Persecuted
One practitioner, 40, from Chiping County, Liaocheng City, was sentenced to a four-year prison term in July 2014. He was placed in the No. 26 Team, where Yang Hongyou was in charge.
Another practitioner, Mr. He Qingmin (贺庆民), 60, from Jinan City, was sent there in April 2014.
