(Minghui.org) People often chat about Falun Gong these days when they are together, especially in groups and social events. They are amazed at practitioners after witnessing their behavior.
I would like to share three stories.
Warmth In My Heart
I went to visit a classmate who had just purchased a new home last summer. I saw an older gentleman leaving the neighborhood as I entered, so I said hello to him. I asked if he had heard of quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to have a good future.
He glanced at me but did not say anything and turned around to call his young granddaughter. He said, “Come here and meet another Falun Gong practitioner!”
He said he had heard about it some time ago and that their nanny had helped them quit.
He continued to tell me about his experience. His wife had heart disease, so they hired a nanny to do the housework. He said: “Several days after she came to work for us, she said that she was a Falun Gong practitioner. I was a bit surprised and apprehensive. I was worried and thought about the self-immolation at Tiananmen Square that we saw on television.” Then he said he decided to give her a chance—to see how she behaved.
The man said the nanny was a great worker, always pleasant and kind. He felt good about keeping her around.
This man teared up as he continued to tell me what a wonderful job she did taking care of his wife and the house. She did everything perfectly, he said. When she went out to make purchases for them, he always told her to keep the change. However, she would not, and always gave him every bit of change. She told them about Falun Gong and helped them quit the CCP. She also helped them understand the truth about the self-immolation at Tiananmen Square and how it was a staged event to defame the practice. He said, “She often read Falun Gong books to us. And I believe that was what improved my wife's health.”
The nanny stayed with them for six months, and then for personal reasons, she had to leave.
“Falun Gong practitioners are such nice people,” he added. “Whenever I meet one, I feel warmth in my heart. Please give my greetings to your Teacher.”
Honesty at All Times
One particular Falun Gong practitioner (whom we refer to here as F) lives in the country. Like many families, he takes care of his parents, raises his children, and works hard in the field.
F one day took several bags of wheat to a store. The employee in the store weighed his bags and paid him 300 yuan (about $50 US) for the wheat. When F arrived home, he put the money on the table and went about his work.
His wife counted the money and discovered there was an extra 100 yuan. Since some of the bills were new, they had stuck together, which caused them to be miscounted.
F went back to the store and told the owner about it. He took out the extra 100 yuan, explained what had happened, and returned the money.
F said he was a Falun Gong practitioner, and that he believed in being honest at all times. The store owner was very happy. “If you did not return the money, no one would ever know,” he told F, giving him a thumbs-up. “Now I understand the greatness of Falun Gong!”
A Fortuitous Umbrella
One morning, I met a fruit vendor at an open market. He was selling chestnuts on a platform trailer, but it had become windy and was about to rain. I purchased some chestnuts, and as I was leaving, I noticed his trailer was not covered. Everything would soon get wet. So I asked him, “Why don't you have an umbrella or tarp to cover your chestnuts and protect them from the rain?”
What I said must have been funny because he smiled. “I always have an umbrella with me, but then a couple days ago I noticed it was missing,” he said. “But I met a good person this morning, who helped me quit the CCP. She heard about my missing umbrella and went home to get me a replacement.”
I asked if she knew him, but he said, “No. She was a Falun Gong practitioner.” He took out the umbrella and said, “This is the umbrella that a Falun Gong practitioner brought me!”
Conclusion
Many similar stories take place every day. Some may find these stories rather ordinary, but the pure beauty of practitioners has been delivered to people through the words and behavior of Falun Gong practitioners. The seeds of wonder and beauty have been planted in people's hearts.
Everyone has their friends and relatives, so the compassion will spread. The righteous field will become larger and larger. More and more people will understand the facts and come to know in their hearts that Falun Gong is good.
