Additional Persecution News from China – January 2, 2015 (6 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 3 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment, the whereabouts of one is unknown, and at least 4 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Liping Missing

Ms. Huang Liping

Ms. Huang Liping from Wumiao Street and other Falun Gong practitioners were practicing the Falun Gong exercises in Jinyanhu Park, when officers from the Guanghan Police Department and the Chengbei Police Station appeared and tried to arrest them on February 20, 2000. Ms. Huang escaped, but her whereabouts have been unknown for 15 years.

2. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wu Yingwen Arrested

Ms. Wu Yingwen, 72, was arrested at home by Wang Jiahui and other security officers from the Bajiazi Forestry Bureau on November 28, 2014. Her Falun Gong books, a computer, a cell phone, and other items were confiscated.

3. [Fengxiang County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Yan Baoli and Ms. Lin Hongli Detained

Ms. Yan Baoli and Ms. Lin Hongli were arrested by officers from the Shijiaying Police Station in Chengguan Town for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on December 29, 2014. Agents from the Fengxiang 610 Office and the Fengxiang Political and Legal Affairs Committee took them to the Baoji No.2 Detention Center on December 30.

4. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Guilan Detained

Ms. Wang Guilan was detained on December 26, 2014. Her luggage was checked at the Zibo Train Station on her return to northeast China. The 10,000 yuan cash she carried was taken away. Additional information will be reported when available.

5. [Taian City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yin Detained

Ms. Yin, 63, was arrested on December 30, 2014, for distributing 2015 calendars with messages about Falun Gong written in them. His home was ransacked and he was taken to the Tai'an Detention Center.
