(Minghui.org) In my 18 years of cultivation of Falun Dafa, I have not only experienced myself just how wonderful it is, but I have also witnessed how those people who have made right decisions about it have been blessed.
Two High School Principals Promoted
I am an English teacher at a high school. In May 1999, the Education Board asked for a head count of teachers practicing Falun Gong. My fellow practitioners and I didn’t know why they were asking, so we told them that we were practitioners. The government then targeted us for frequent harassment once the government started persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999.
Shortly after the persecution began, our school was tasked with sending teachers to rural schools to improve the quality of their teaching. I volunteered.
As the persecution continued and escalated, the police went to my home school to investigate me. They told my principal they wanted to “interview” me. The principal said, “She is an outstanding teacher. She volunteered to go to a rural area to help out. And you want to monitor her? If there is a problem concerning her, come to me. I will take care of it. You don’t need to talk to her.”
As October 1, 1999, the anniversary of the Party's rise to power in China, approached, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) monitored practitioners even more closely to prevent them from going to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. The Education Board requested that I return to my home school so that I could be monitored around the clock. My home school principal firmly refused to comply. He said that he would take full responsibility for any consequences.
He later told me, “I can’t ask you to come back. If I did, the rest of your life might be ruined. We endured the Cultural Revolution, where people who were classified as "class enemies" were denounced and punished, and their lives and their families’ lives were all ruined. Just thinking about that time makes me tremble.”
My principal is very kind. He has never said a single bad word about Falun Dafa, nor did he ever ask me to stop cultivating. Divine powers look at a person’s heart. When a Falun Dafa disciple is in trouble, a person who dares to protect that disciple accumulates great virtue.
Two years later, he was promoted to be the principal of a key high school.
The Education Board also called the principal of the village school where I had gone to teach and ordered him to send me home. That principal also refused to comply. He said, “Other teachers come here to gain political points so that they can get promoted when they return. But this teacher is truly here to help us. We won’t let her go.”
He later told me about it. I said, “My master teaches us to be good and to think of others in any situation. If my staying will mean trouble for you, I can return immediately.” He answered, “You are not going anywhere. Just stay here. Isn’t it a good thing that people are good? If everyone was good, the whole society would improve! The government is acting like it did during the Cultural Revolution. It's insane!”
Despite the oppressive environment in China at that time, I was moved by his words. I saw his true, shining human nature in my adversity. Later he was also promoted to be the principal of a better school.
A Friend Became an Executive
I met Qiaoqiao at the end of 1999, when my son and her son were learning the game Go together. When the kids were in class, we would talk. Over time, Qiaoqiao and I chatted about our work. She said that she worked in the tax department. There was a lot of pressure at work because their work was tied to a lot of people’s interests. People there fought over each other.
I told her that I, too, used to struggle in dealing with people at work. After I began practicing Falun Gong, I made a big change. I lived by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and did not pay much attention to fame or money. Suddenly, life was simple and clear. I could let go those of things that used to bother me. I was happy every day.
She found what I said eye-opening. After that, I talked about Falun Dafa to her frequently. Right after the Nine Commentary on the Communist Party was published in November 2004, I urged her to quit the CCP to save herself. She agreed. She also got her husband and son to quit the CCP’s youth organizations, the Youth League and the Young Pioneers.
A few days later, she was pulled to work with a temporary inspection team under the municipal tax bureau and was told that those who did outstanding work in the team would get a promotion. After the temporary work ended, she was promoted to an executive position with the municipal tax bureau. She could hardly believe it.
I told her that people who understand the truth about Falun Dafa will truly be blessed. She was very pleased. She came to my home and knelt in front of Master’s picture to thank him.
My Own Family
My husband had long wanted to move into a bigger apartment, but the house prices kept going up. We would have to get a mortgage if we bought a bigger home, and I didn’t want to do that, although we could afford the payment.
When our son was about to graduate from college, we felt pressured to get a bigger house, but I was still firm on not taking on debt. Then we ran into a house, 936 square feet with a yard, for only 350,000 yuan, because the seller needed money. We bought it without hesitation. We all knew that Teacher had helped us out.
My son then faced the challenge of getting a job. These days it is hard for a college graduate in China to find a job. I told him, “Don’t worry. Let’s just follow Master’s arrangement.” Many friends soon came to us to help him find a job. In the end, he chose to work at a design institute.
Since I began practicing Falun Dafa, things have gone very well for my family.
I know of many other people who quit the CCP and were blessed. I keep telling people to cherish the opportunity to be saved.
