(Minghui.org) One early afternoon last month, there was a knock at my door. I didn't think much about it and went to open it. In front of me stood half a dozen large men. One of them showed me a permit and told me they were from the police department. He said it was a search warrant and wanted me to cooperate.
My first reaction was of alarm, but I quickly calmed myself. I am a Falun Dafa practitioner, I am here to help Master rectify the Fa and save sentient beings. Falun Dafa and Master are with me. Since they came to my home, I knew it was for them to be saved. I said to them calmly, “Please come in.”
I then invited them to sit down. One of them spoke up and said, “No, thank you. We want you two to get dressed to go out and come to the police station with us.” I said, “But you are our guests. You are in my home. Please sit down and we can have a chat.”
They reluctantly sat down. I said, “Our Master said that we should not cooperate with the evil persecution. We will not cooperate and will not go with you.”
One of them tried to explain that they were not wicked. He went on to say that their director just wanted to talk to us and that we would be free to go home afterward.
I told them that I did not believe it, and that if we did go with them, we would not be allowed to return home. I said, "If we cooperate with you, that will not be good for you. We will not let you persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. The police should serve the people. If your leader wants to talk to us, please ask him to come to my home."
I further told them that it was not necessary for them to come and disturb us and the neighbors. Since we didn't cooperate with them, they called their director. They said he would come shortly.
While we were waiting, one of the officers asked me why I practiced Falun Gong and what benefits I derived from the practice. My wife and I started to clarify the truth to them.
I said that it was my wife who started practicing Falun Dafa first. She used to suffer from heart disease, rheumatism, rhinitis, and arthritis and went to see doctors all over the place until we had used up all our savings, and she was still not cured. So she started to practice Falun Dafa. She thought it was very good and recommended it to me.
At first I didn't believe it, but I was not against her practicing. I told her that if she became healthy, I would practice, too. After a year, all of her ailments were gone. So I believed it and also began practicing. I used to be in sales. I was addicted to cigarettes and alcohol. I had smoked for 13 years. After practicing Falun Gong, I quit smoking and drinking and became healthy. We witnessed the amazing health benefits of Falun Dafa.
The policeman was interested and went on to ask what health problems I had had. I told him that I used to suffer from blood viscosity and high cholesterol and had to be put on an IV at the hospital every year. Now I no longer needed it after practicing Falun Gong.
I said to them, “Falun Dafa has spread to more than 100 countries and has won thousands of awards from different countries and regions. As police officer, you should think about it seriously and learn the truth. You must know what kind of people Falun Gong practitioners are. We strive to be good, following Falun Dafa's requirements and the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Among the criminals, are there any Falun Gong practitioners?
“Out of jealousy, Jiang Zemin started the persecution of Falun Gong. He slandered Falun Gong, labeling it an 'evil cult,' when he was meeting a leader from a Western country. The Chinese media and the political and legal system were mobilized to persecute Falun Gong. Every participant became a sinner.
“Some police officers think they are handling cases in accordance with the law. Let's talk about that. Can a government leader's words become law? Can media propaganda become law? Is there a law that says that Falun Gong is an evil cult? The State Council and the Ministry of Public Security have listed 14 evil cults in China. And Falun Gong is not on that list. So, according to which law are Falun Gong practitioners sentenced to jails and forced labor camps? As legal professionals, aren't you breaking the law?
“As a matter of fact, the persecution of Falun Gong is without any legal basis whatsoever. Lackeys carry out oral orders and replace the law with such orders. These minions are public servants. According to the law, if public servants don't obey the law but instead carry out incorrect administrative orders from above, they will be responsible for the consequences when the truth is fully revealed in the future.
“As legal professionals, I think you will eventually know the truth and handle cases according to the law and will not be indifferent. You will not behave like thugs and become evildoers. Good will be rewarded and evil will be punished. Many who have helped to carry out the persecution have been punished, and their family members have to bear the consequences. They are full of regret.
“Ren Changxia was punished by heaven because of his involvement in the persecution of Falun Gong. He died in a car accident. He Xuejian, a policeman from Hebei Province, raped a practitioner the same age as his mother. He contracted penile cancer and was also sentenced to jail.”
My wife and I also talked about the freedom of speech. We talked about the staged Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident and the stone in Guizhou that says “The Chinese Communist Party Perishes.” I showed them a photo of the stone. We also talked about the harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and the "Quit the CCP" movement. One of them said, “I know about quitting the Party. When I traveled to Taiwan, I saw many 'Quit the CCP' centers.”
A few of them left, and others took their place. My wife and I knew they came to hear the truth and to be saved, that they didn't come to persecute us. We sent forth righteous thoughts to clear the evil factors behind them.
Their leader called back and informed them that he would not be coming because he no longer felt he could fit it into his schedule. The whole time the police officers were with us, they asked questions and we answered them all without arguing, and they behaved well. Everything went well. My wife cooked dinner, and when she could, continued to clarify the truth.
They didn't leave until 7 p.m. They asked us to give them some materials so that they could report to their boss. I gave them several pamphlets and Shen Yun DVDs. I told them that they were not for them to report to their boss. Instead, I asked them to watch the DVDs and read the pamphlets so that they could know the truth.
They thanked us and said that we were good people. They asked us not to go out to clarify the truth of Falun Gong. I knew they were scared for our safety. They made their choices when they knew the truth.
My wife and I kept asking Master to strengthen us and we kept our righteous thoughts during their entire visit. We had no fear, and we remained calm and compassionate. We didn't have any bad thoughts. I kept the following two thoughts in mind: first, we would not cooperate with the evil and would not let them take advantage of our loopholes - we simply followed Master's guidance. Second, whoever came to my home was someone to be saved and was not there to persecute us.
With Master's protection and strengthening, we were not arrested and instead clarified the truth and saved more sentient beings.
