(Minghui.org) In July 2014, Falun Gong practitioners in the Handan region sent text message blasts to the majority of their area's mobile users, detailing a list of local perpetrators involved in the persecution of Falun Gong.

The reaction was immediate.

Two local perpetrators approached practitioners they knew and said that they would stop persecuting Falun Gong. One asked for help to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and declared that he would start supporting Falun Gong from then on.

Another perpetrator was concerned, after seeing the multimedia message on his cell phone, that his crimes are now under investigation by WOIPFG (World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong). He also told a Falun Gong practitioner that he wanted to help with ending the persecution and hoped that his new undertaking would make up for his wrongdoing.

Mobile users received text, multimedia messages or truth-clarification phone calls. Of course, this includes the local perpetrators as well.

Public security personnel in Handan City have actively participated in the persecution since the persecution started in 1999. This prefecture-level city, with a population of about 1.5 million, has seen some of the most severe persecution.

Today, as a result of practitioners' persistent efforts to raise awareness, public opinion has changed, and the perpetrators in Handan are no longer so arrogant and reckless.

People know that the persecution is wrong and will bring about karmic consequences. Rewards from the CCP mean nothing in the face of karmic retribution, a traditional Chinese viewpoint that “what goes around comes around.”

Policeman Returns Confiscated Cash

Zhang Aibin (张爱斌), a political instructor with the Chengguan Police Station, returned 14,900 yuan in cash (worth about $2,300) to practitioners Wang Aiying (王爱英) and her husband in August 2014.

Zhang and other domestic security policemen arrested the couple on June 1, 2011. They took away personal property and divided up the couple's 14,900 yuan cash. They subsequently filed trumped up charges, and the couple was sentenced to three years in prison by Wu'an Court in Handan.

Three years later, Handan practitioners exposed the robbery to the Minghui website and local communities. Zhang Aibin finally returned the cash to the couple.

In recent years, Handan practitioners have been quick to expose local perpetrators' crimes. Such information is broadcast via flyers, signs, and phone calls from inside and outside of China. It seems that the perpetrators are beginning to feel a lot of pressure about their involvement in the nationwide crackdown that has no legal basis.

On May 30, 2013, Handan practitioner Gu Daping (顾大平) was arrested outside of the Xinmeilin Hotel for distributing software disks to help people circumvent the Internet blockade. The local police thought it was an opportunity to create a “big case.” They took Gu to the criminal police division.

They were shocked when they received phone calls from Falun Gong practitioners soon after. “How did this happen so fast? Even Falun Gong practitioners outside of China know about this?” They soon gave up and released Mr. Gu.

Handan Perpetrators Meet with Karmic Retribution

Handan practitioners have collected the following karmic retribution cases in order to encourage other perpetrators to make positive changes for their own sakes.

Falun Gong is a practice of the Buddha school. A core traditional Chinese belief is that those who persecute genuine cultivators or religious believers are committing huge crimes, much worse than regular crimes.

Despite the Communist Party's attempt to destroy traditional belief, Chinese people still have a sense that those who commit bad deeds will meet with consequences in the form of karmic retribution.

The following are some other examples of karmic retribution being talked about in Handan:

Li Guihong (李桂洪), Handan city police bureau chief, is one of the masterminds in pushing forward the persecution regionally. He was once recognized as an “honored, special policeman nationwide” for his involvement in persecuting practitioners. However, in August 2012, he was put under investigation by the CCP for corruption.

In March 2013, he suffered a stroke during his visit to Shanghai. He survived the emergent surgery, but has had a mental disorder ever since. His wife also suffered a stroke and is in a vegetative state.

People in Handan have commented that his bad deeds have brought disasters to him and his family.

Ji Shaochun (吉少春) with the Quzhou County police station in Handan used to be very harsh in torturing practitioners. On August 23, 2012, he drove a police vehicle into a tractor in Feixiang County, and died at the scene.

Feng Liansheng (冯连生), former Handan CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) Chairman and secretary of Political and Legal Affairs Committee (PLAC), a major organization in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, got stomach cancer in December 2013.

Handan Falun Gong practitioners will continue exposing local crimes and helping the perpetrators steer away from following the persecution and start changing their lives for the better.
