Additional Persecution News from China – July 30, 2014 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 22 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Bai Yunxiang and Other Practitioners Arrested

The following practitioners were arrested on July 20, 2014 by personnel from the Xianjin Police Station: Ms. Cui, Ms. Bai Yunxiang, Ms. Wang Shufang, Ms. Wang Qi, Ms. Lu, Ms. Wei, Ms. Wang Guixiang, Mr. Zhang Guoli, and Mr. Xu Minghai. Mr. Xu's non-practitioner father was also arrested.

2. [Xingguo County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Li Xiaolin Sentenced

Chen Jiangui, from the Domestic Security Division, and other officers broke into Ms. Li Xiaolin's home on December 6, 2013. They arrested her for distributing materials containing persecution facts about Falun Gong. The officers ransacked her home and took two printers and a computer. She is being held in the Xingguo County Detention Center. Ms. Li was recently sentenced to seven years in prison.

3. [Zhangqiu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Han Baotong Arrested

Mr. Han Baotong was arrested by officers from the Diao Town Police Station on the morning of July 28, 2014.

4. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Cai Xin'ou Detained

Mr. Cai Xin'ou was arrested for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs on July 22, 2014. He was taken to the city detention center.

5. [Guangshui City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Hongying Detained

Ms. Liu Hongying was arrested in Fangdian Town for telling people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of July 28, 2014. She was taken to the city detention center.

6. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Wang Xuelu and His Wife Ms. Ji Lierong Arrested

Mr. Wang Xuelu and his wife Ms. Ji Lierong were arrested on July 17, 2014. Ms. Ji was released the same day. Mr. Wang's whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Mr. Zhou Jinpeng and Ms. Ding Liyang Detained

Mr. Zhou Jinpeng and Ms. Ding Liyan were arrested on July 26, 2014. The police searched their homes. Both practitioners were held in the Hexi Detention Center.

8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Yazhou Detained

Ms. Chen Yazhou, about 40, was arrested on the morning of July 23, 2014. The police ransacked her home and took four computers, a van, Falun Gong books and materials, a bankbook with a balance of 300,000 yuan, and other personal belongings. Ms. Chen was held in the Yaojia Detention Center.

9. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Meilian Arrested

Ms. Zhang Meilian was arrested at home by officers from the Xiuyue Street Police Station on the evening of July 20, 2014.

10. [Xinyi City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Ji Xianglong Arrested

Mr. Ji Xianglong was arrested at home by Domestic Security Division officers on July 26, 2014. The officers took materials containing persecution facts about Falun Gong.

11. [Chishui City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Chen Guilu and His Wife Ms. Li Tianyou Detained

Mr. Chen Guilu and his wife Ms. Li Tianyou were arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of July 28, 2014. They are being held in the Chishui Detention Center.

12. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Severely Beaten in Detention Center

Ms. Tang Qingying, Ms. Tang Kaiju, Ms. Yin Qiuyang, and Ms. Xiao Guiying were severely beaten by inmates instigated by detention center guards.

Ms. Zhu Huanmei was arrested on July 20, 2014.
