Additional Persecution News from China – June 7, 2014 (20 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 14 provinces. According to this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 24 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Chen Wensheng Arrested

Mr. Chen Wensheng, an engineer at the Zhujiang Decoration Engineering Co. in Guangzhou City Guangzhou, was arrested by officers from the Jinhua Police Station of the Liwan District Police Department on May 28, 2014. He was transferred to the Liwan District Detention Center a day later. The police confiscated a laptop computer, two cell phones, and many Falun Dafa books with an approximated value of 20,000 yuan.

2. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Guiying Sentenced

Ms. Wang Guiying was arrested by division secretary Li Xichun and security officer Jiang Mingfa on October 30, 2013, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was held at the Renqiu City Detention Center for eight months and recently sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Renqiu City Court. She was transferred to Shijiazhuang on June 4, 2014.

Mr. Ding Qian was sentenced to a three-year prison term and Mr. You Haijun to three-and-a-half-years on April 3, 2014.

4. [Jing County, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Bing Arrested

Mr. Liu Bing, who is almost 20, is the son of Ms. Sun Suying. He was recently arrested and is being held at the Hongqidajia Spa Hotel in Hengshui City.

5. [Junan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Xiao Mingxia Detained and Mr. Du Cunmin's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Xiao Mingxia was arrested at the Junan County Railway Station by officers from the Junan County 610 Office and Domestic Security Division on June 1, 2014. She is being held at the Junan County Detention Center.

Officers from the Chengnan Police Station ransacked her home that evening. They confiscated a computer and other personal items and arrested her husband, Mr. Du Cunmin. His whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Lihua, Mr. Chen Zhongyi, and Ms. Wang Xiaming were arrested by officers from the Qingshan District 610 Office and Qingshan Town Police Station on May 21, 2014. The police ransacked their homes.

Ms. Zhang was first held at the Wuhan City Detention Center for 15 days and then transferred to the Qingshan District Beihunongchang Brainwashing Center.

The whereabouts of Mr. Chen and Ms. Wang are unknown.

7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Baozhu Arrested

Ms. Chen Baozhu was arrested by officers from the Huagang Police Station on June 5, 2014, for removing slanderous messages about Falun Gong on a display board.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Cui Hong and Her Daughter Ms. Liu Xiaofan Detained

Ms. Cui Hong and her daughter, Ms. Liu Xiaofan, were arrested on June 3, 2014, for distributing information materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held at the Xicheng District Detention Center.

9. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Hu Guoxiu and Ms. He Sujun Arrested

Ms. Hu Guoxiu and Ms. He Sujun were arrested by officers from the Dongguan Police Station in the Gaoping District on June 5, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

10. [Beijing] Dr. Wu Detained

Dr. Wu was arrested at home on May 8, 2014, and the police ransacked her home. She is being held at the Shijingshan Police Department.

Ms. Shi Qilan and Ms. Pan Xiuqin, in their 70s, were arrested by plainclothes officers for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on June 5, 2014. The police ransacked their homes. They are being held at the Yulong Police Station in the Shantinghu District, Yangcheng City.

12. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Yumei Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yumei was arrested in the area of Jingyang Street by officers from the Daoli Police Department on June 4, 2014.

13. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Ma Yuefeng Arrested

Ms. Ma Yuefeng was arrested and taken to the Shuanglongdong Brainwashing Center by officers from Yongkang City and Jinyunhu Town on May 29, 2014.

14. [Xinye County, Henan Province] Mr. Qiao Guoqian Detained

Mr. Qiao Guoqian was arrested by officers from the Hanhua Police Station on May 26, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is being held at the Xinye County Detention Center.

15. [Yujiang County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Xia Zhuansheng and Ms. Li Yingen Detained

Ms. Xia Zhuansheng and Ms. Li Yingen were arrested by officers from the Duiqiao Police Station in Jinxi County on June 4, 2014, for distributing truth-clarification materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held at the Jinxi County Detention Center.

Mr. Song Zhenhai was arrested on May 25, 2014, for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs in Yanggao Village, Ducunji Town. His wife was also arrested when she asked the police for his release.

17. [Guangde County, Anhui Province] Mr. Chen Yijun Detained

Mr. Chen Yijun was arrested at home on June 5, 2014. He is being held at the Guangde County Detention Center.

Ms. Wu Rong was arrested in late May.

19. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Cao Fengyue was arrested at home by officers from the Railway Police Station of Zhengzhou City and Xuchang City Police Department on May 27, 2014. She is being held at the Eighth Division of the Railway Police Station in Zhengzhou City.

Ms. Hua, 62, was arrested at the Xuchang City Railway Station by officers from the Railway Police Station around May 24, 2014.

20. [Wusheng County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Shao Changming Arrested

Mr. Shao Changming was arrested at Shiziyan Elementary School on June 4, 2014, when he was teaching a class. The police confiscated a computer and Falun Gong books at his home.
