(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 3 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 7 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Jianmei Arrested
Ms. Li Jianmei was followed and arrested by officers from the Huaiyin District Police Station on the afternoon of April 14, 2014. The police ransacked her home and took a computer and Dafa books. Her car window was also smashed by the police.

2. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Xing Aixiang Suffers from High Blood Pressure in Prison
Ms. Xing Aixiang was tortured and, as a result, developed high blood pressure symptoms when she was held in the Xinxiang Women's Prison. The prison officials withheld information on her condition and prevented her family and friends from visiting her.
3. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Huiying Taken to Brainwashing Center
Ms. Yu Huiying was arrested and taken to the Shengli Oil Extraction Plant Detention Center for telling people about Falun Gong.
4. [Beijing] Ms. Li Qingrui Detained
Ms. Li Qingrui, 66, was arrested when she went out to distribute Falun Gong informational materials on March 28, 2014. She is being held in the Chaoyang Detention Center.
5. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Wang Dawu, Mr. Si Shuquan, and Mr. Liu Shuhua were arrested on the afternoon of April 14, 2014.
6. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Ren Huifang Arrested
Ms. Ren Huifang, whose close family member works at the Xianning City Construction Company, was arrested when she went to pick up her grandson from kindergarten on the morning of April 15, 2014.
7. [Dandong City, Liaoning province] Ms. Jiang Fengying Dies as a Result of Persecution
Ms. Jiang Fengying, 67, who retired from the Danjing Plant in Dandong City, was arrested five times since July 20, 1999. She was tortured, injected with unknown drugs, sentenced to forced labor, and taken to brainwashing centers on various occasions. She went on hunger strikes to protest the persecution.
Ms. Jiang was in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp between 2006 and 2007. Inhuman abuse resulted in her not being able to see clearly out of her left eye, losing seven teeth, and weighing less than 90 pounds. After her release, she was still harassed and monitored. On January 8, 2014 Ms. Jiang died from years of persecution.
Ms. Shi Xiuqing and three other practitioners were illegally sentenced to prison in 2011 for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. Ms. Shi was given a four-year prison term and sent to Liaoning Province Women's Prison.
She was placed in a solitary cell for a month between November and December in 2013. There was no heating in the bed-size cell, and it was humid and chilly. She was given only a piece of worn-out shoddy cotton that barely kept her warm.
