(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zou Yufang was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer after suffering abuse at the Tongyu Detention Center. The police extorted 10,000 yuan from her family, then released her on a one-year probation.

To escape the subsequent unrelenting police harassment, Ms. Zou left home and went into hiding. Liu Yanzhuo, head of the Changhong Police Station in Da'an City, recently sought out Ms. Zou at the home of her relatives in another city and began harassing her relatives for her whereabouts.

Initial Arrest

Ms. Zou Yufang and four other practitioners went to Changyuan Village of Lesheng Town on January 31, 2013 to distribute Falun Gong flyers, and someone reported them to the local police. Officers Chen Yamin and Liu Yuming from the Gucheng Police Station and Domestic Security Division arrested the five practitioners, and sent them to Tongyu Detention Center.

The harsh environment and mistreatment took a toll on Ms. Zou’s health. She was diagnosed with advanced cancer of the stomach, and her condition is fragile. To avoid the police, she has been unable to contact her family.
