(Minghui.org) While others were celebrating Chinese New Year with their families, two women from Hanjiayuan Town, Huma County, Daxing Anling Prefecture, could not even see their families because of their belief.

Ms. Shai Guirong, 53, was arrested on the morning of May 21, 2013, for giving two Minghui booklets to a taxi driver. The police interrogated her husband after her arrest, and he handed over the names of other practitioners. Ms. Wang Xiubo was arrested the next morning, and several other practitioners were harassed.

Their cases were presented to the courts in Huma and Jiagedaqi but were thrown out because of insufficient evidence.

Ms. Shai is being held in the Huma County Detention Center and has bouts of delirium.

Ms. Wang's family had a large sum of money extorted from them to secure her release. Ms. Wang has now left home to avoid further persecution.

Two Courts Reject Police's Fabricated Evidence

Ms. Shai and Ms. Wang were interrogated for two days at the Hanjiayuan Police Department. The police asked Ms. Wang where the printer and materials had come from and who gave them to her. She refused to tell them. They asked, “A person your age learned how to use a computer by yourself? Who taught you?”

Song Yu, chief of the Hanjiayuan Domestic Security Division, took Ms. Shai and Ms. Wang to the Huma Detention Center. The practitioners went on a hunger strike for seven days to protest the arrest and mistreatment. Ms. Shai was force-fed.

The police were unsuccessful in their attempt to fabricate evidence to charge them and took them back to Hanjiayuan Detention center 15 days later. Both women were stricken with illness upon arrival. Ms. Shai threw up and Ms. Wang had a heart attack. The police returned the women to the Huma Detention Center three days later.

Their cases were presented to the Huma Court and the Jiagedaqi Court, but were thrown out because of insufficient evidence.

Recently, the Hanjiayuan Court was established in the Hanjiayuan region. Judge Liu is the presiding judge, and Ms. Shai could be the first person tried in the new court.

Ms. Shai Became Delirious

Ms. Shai had been out of prison for only a year when this latest arrest took place, and under the pressure of the persecution, she became delirious.

The Huma County Detention Center officials did not want to be held responsible for her mental state and repeatedly reported her situation to the Huma County Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the local police department, the 610 Office, the court and the Procuratorate, but they could not agree to release her.

Ms. Wang Xiubo Left Home

Ms. Wang was arrested and taken to the Huma Detention Center in the morning on May 22, 2013. During the arrest, the officers swore at her and confiscated her computer and printer. She was held in the Huma Detention Center for 5 months. She was released only after her family had a large sum of money extorted from them. The police continued to harass her after her release.

The police tried to force her to write a guarantee statement to give up practicing Falun Gong. She was told she would be taken away if she did not write it and fingerprint it.

To avoid further persecution, Ms. Wang left home.

Ms. Wang's Family Threatened and Harassed

When the local police could not find her, they went to her mother's home. Her 80-year-old mother had always been in good health until the police began to harass her multiple times a day. She is now very ill, bedridden, and does not eat.

In addition, two officers from the local domestic security division went to Ms. Wang's grandson's school to harass him. Song Yu and another officer burst into Ms. Wang's home, only to find she was not there. Her grandson was home and told them he did not know where she was. Song Yu waited, eventually lost patience, and went over to her mother's house and would not leave.

Song Yu, Ning Yingwei, and officers from the local Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the 610 Office also harassed Ms. Wang's two brothers. The authorities ordered them to pressure Ms. Wang to write a guarantee statement and obtain her fingerprints. If she refused to write the statement, the brothers were to take her to the local detention center. If they did not take her to the detention center by December 28, 2013, they would be fined and lose their jobs.

Ms. Shai's Arrest

Ms. Shai was arrested when she gave a taxi driver two Minghui newsletters on the morning of May 21, 2013. A plainclothes officers got in the cab after her and found the newsletters. The cab driver was taken to the Xinxing Police Station in Hanjiayuan Town and interrogated. When the police asked where the newsletters came from, the driver said, “Ms. Shai gave them to me.”

Xue Kejiu, the deputy director of the Hanjiayuan Police Department; Song Yu, head of the local domestic security division; and two other officers arrested Ms. Shai at the Hanjiayuan Market. She shouted, “Falun Dafa is good! The police persecute good people!” They pushed her into the police car.

Ms. Shai was taken to the Hanjiayuan Police Department and told the director would come see her. Someone came in, slapped her in the face, and asked where the newsletters came from and who gave them to her. She refused to reply.

Home Ransacked, Family Threatened

The police took the keys to Ms. Shai's home and ransacked it twice while her husband was at work. The police confiscated two DVDs, two MP3 players, a cell phone, Dafa books, truth clarification materials, and some personal belongs. When Ms. Shai's daughter asked Xue Kejui to return the personal property, he replied, “Do you have any evidence that we took anything?”

Song Yu took Ms. Shai's daughter and her husband to the Hanjiayuan Police Department on the afternoon of May 21, 2013. They were interrogated and threatened. Her husband broke under pressure and gave out the names of other practitioners that he knew.

The police started at the home of Ms. Wang Xiubo's mother. They ransacked it and harassed her family. Ms. Wang Xiubo was arrested and taken to the Hanjiayuan Police Department, and two laptops and some personal items were confiscated.

The authorities then went to the home of Ms. Shao Lihua, but she was gone. After that, they intruded on Ms. Xia Xiumei and ransacked her home. Next on the list was Ms. Shen Yuqin. They found her at home and demanded to know if she was still practicing Falun Gong. They also harassed Ms. Wang's Xiubo's sister-in-law and ended the day at the home of Ms. Lei Qingxia, who was not there.

Both Women Subjected to Years of Persecution

Ms. Wang Xiubo began to practice Falun Gong in 1996 and benefited greatly. She has been arrested many times since the persecution started in 1999. She was previously sentenced to a forced labor camp, where she was force-fed and did hard labor.

Ms. Shai has been arrested five times since 1999, was detained twice in the Hanjiayuan Detention Center in 2000, was forced to do hard labor, and was subjected to brainwashing. Officers from the Hanjiayuan Police Department, the police station, and the local residential committee ransacked her home in 2008. She was taken to the Shibazhan Detention Center and later sentenced to four years in Heilongjiang Women's Prison for saying, “Falun Dafa is good” and “I want to practice Dafa.” She was tortured both mentally and physically.

Officers from the Hanjiayuan 610 Office, the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and Police Department have been harassing her family since the persecution began. The local police would monitor, harass, and threaten Ms. Shai on sensitive dates, sometimes even ransacking her home. This long term and ongoing persecution has made her family afraid of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and they have been unable to live a normal life.
