(Minghui.org) Ms. Liu was a Township Communist Party secretary in Sichuan Province for more than 20 years. After the Party initiated the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, she was deceived by the Party’s lies and treated Falun Gong as her enemy. She became actively involved in the persecution, and signed a ten-year contract with a local justice department to head a brainwashing center. She became a perpetrator dedicated to transforming practitioners.
She was very ruthless against Falun Gong practitioners, and abused them both verbally and physically. She came up with all kinds of methods to torture the practitioners, and her victims are numerous. She often told the practitioners, “I will destroy you if you dare to practice again.”
As an ancient Chinese proverb says, good begets good, evil begets evil, and it will follow you like a shadow. Soon Ms. Liu met her retribution.
Ms. Liu’s husband joined the military when he was only 16, but when he retired from the military, he did not get any job or compensation. Instead, he was sent back to his home village and became a peasant. Ms. Liu’s son was a manager at a local government agency. For no apparent reason, he was removed from that position. Soon the son’s wife ran away with another man. One day, Ms. Liu’s two-story home was hit by lightning, all her home appliances were burned, and a huge crack (several cm wide) formed on the load-bearing wall. The local TV station reported this incident, and the news became talk of the town.
After the brainwashing class was dissolved, Ms. Liu reported to the justice department. To her surprise, the department refused to honor the original contract, and gave her no job assignments.
On the Verge of Suicide She Learns the Truth of Falun Gong
The series of tragedies drove her to despair so deep that she contemplated committing suicide by jumping into the river several times. Later she met a practitioner who told her the truth about Falun Gong. That conversation completely changed her view of Falun Gong and practitioners. She asked the practitioner to help her and her family to quit all Party organizations and post their withdrawals on the Internet.
Later, local authorities reopened the brainwashing center, and she was asked to do her old job there by the justice department. Taking practitioners' advice, Ms. Liu refused. She also demanded a new assignment. To everyone’s surprise, the department agreed and gave her a new position, and she was able to retire from that job. Her son also got his old job back, and remarried.
Ms. Liu’s family was rewarded after they quit the Party. She said, “I worked for the Party for many years, but I want to thank Falun Gong for saving me.”
