Additional Persecution News from China – March 23, 2014 Part II (6 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 9 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 7 practitioners were illegally arrested.

 

1. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Li Jianping's Whereabouts Unknown
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Nine Practitioners Sentenced
3. [Funing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Cha Suyan Arrested
4. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Zhao Chongan and Ms. Li Xueya Arrested
5. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yanqin and Ms. Li Arrested
6. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Wu Yifan Arrested

1. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Li Jianping's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Li Jianping was arrested at his workplace on March 19, 2014. His whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Nine Practitioners Sentenced

The Zhongshan District Court in Dalian City sentenced nine practitioners. Mr. Che Zhongshan, Mr. Zhu Chengqian, Mr. Wang Shouchen, Mr. Pei Zhenbo, Mr. Shi Zhanshun, Mr. Guo Song, and Mr. Yu Bo were taken to Nanguanling Prison. Ms. Pan Xiuqing and Ms. Bai Ruyu are being held at the Dalian City Detention Center.

3. [Funing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Cha Suyan Arrested

Ms. Cha Suyan was arrested by officers from the Shimenzhai Police Station on March 21, 2014, when she was distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The officers confiscated the materials.

4. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Zhao Chongan and Ms. Li Xueya Arrested

Director Zhao Duofang from the Chigan Town Police Station arrested Mr. Zhao Chongan and his wife, Ms. Li Xueya, at home on March 21, 2014. Their home was ransacked, and they were taken to the police station. Mr. Zhao was then transferred to a detention center and his wife was taken to Xianyang City.

5. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yanqin and Ms. Li Arrested

Ms. Li Yanqin and Ms. Li, both in their sixties, were arrested and taken to the Patrol Division of the Gao District Police Department on the evening of March 22, 2014, because they were talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong near Harbin University of Industry.

6. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Wu Yifan Arrested

Mr. Wu Yifan was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division and Yongyang Town Police Station on March 19, 2014. He was taken to a brainwashing center.
