(Minghui.org) Meilin was very naughty since she was little. She fought with other kids when she was ten years old, and she would shout at and bite anyone who provoked her. Even the naughtiest of boys would hide from her.

Her sister had scars on her arms because of Meilin and sometimes she would cry to their mom. Her mom could do nothing with Meilin and said to her sister, “You’d just better not provoke her.”

On one occasion, Meilin got angry at her sister-in-law and struck her on the head with a broom. Then she chased her sister-in-law around with the broom.

At the age of marriage, nobody in the village wanted to marry Meilin. She was infamous for her bad temper. Her mother was worried about her. She eventually married someone in Hegang City.

After she moved to Hegang, Meilin's temper was still the same as before. One time, when she quarreled with her supervisor, she jumped up on a table and threw an open thermos bottle of scalding water at him. She refused to listen to anybody in the office. Some workers were very stressed because of her.

Old habits die hard and no one could imagine Meilin ever changing. However, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance dissolved her bad thoughts and changed her greatly, both in mind and body. Since she started practicing Falun Dafa and living by Dafa's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, Meilin never humiliated or hit others again.

When she first started practicing Falun Dafa, Meilin could hardly control herself. But gradually, her temper became gentler and she learned to look within whenever she was confronted with conflicts. Her entire family witnessed her changes. During the period of the most intensive persecution of Falun Gong, even her neighbors protected her from arrest by the authorities as they too had witnessed her remarkable changes.

Although she had become a good, upstanding person, Meilin was persecuted and illegally arrested. When her sister brought Meilin back from the detention center she asked her to continue practicing Falun Gong. If anybody tries to stop her from practicing, her sister intervenes, “Please don’t stop her!”
