Additional Persecution News from China – December 15, 2014 (20 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 23 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Ms. Pan Zuzhen was taken to the Gaoqing County Detention Center.

2. [Loudi City, Hunan Province] Mr. Liang Keming Arrested

Mr. Liang Keming was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division on the morning of December 12, 2014. He is being held in the Loudi City Detention Center.

3. [Fengning County, Hebei Province] Mr. Chu Zhenqi's Family of Four Arrested

Mr. Chu Zhenqi; his wife, Ms. Wang Guozhen; and their two daughters, Ms. Chu Lianrong and Ms. Chu Lianhua, were followed when they were hanging banners and distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on the evening of December 13, 2014. The police searched their home around one o’clock that night and arrested them. Ms. Wang was released the following morning. Mr. Chu was taken to the Fengning County Detention Center. The two daughters were taken to Chengde City.

Mr. Chu was held in a labor camp twice before, for a total of five years. Ms. Wang was sentenced to four years in prison. She was also twice held in a labor camp, totaling six years. Ms. Chu Lianrong was sentenced to seven years in prison plus she spent three years in a labor camp earlier. She was just released on September 17, 2014, after seven years of imprisonment.

4. [Fengning County, Hebei Province] Ms. Shu Ling Arrested

Ms. Shu Ling was arrested on November 26, 2014.

5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Feng'e Detained

Ms. Liu Feng'e from the Huangdao District was arrested on December 12, 2014, for posting stickers with information about Falun Gong. It was reported that she is being held in the Pudong Detention Center.

Ms. Liu was arrested on the evening of November 15, 2011. She was held in the Pudong Detention Center for two months. Then she was taken to the Shandong Women's Prison and served a four-year term. She was just released this summer.

6. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Qu Dehong Forced to Leave Home

Qian Guofeng, secretary of the Mishan City Political and Legal Affairs Committee; Yu Xiaofeng, head of the 610 Office; and about 20 officers drilled around the lock on the door to break into Mr. Qu Dehong's home on the evening of April 2, 2014. They ransacked his home and took a computer, Falun Gong books, a cell phone, and 600 yuan in cash. Mr. Qu was not home at the time. The officers arrested his wife, Ms. Liu Ying. She was later released. But Mr. Qu was forced to leave home and move frequently to avoid further persecution.

7. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Nan Yingshi Detained

Jiang Yunpeng and other officers from the Jixi City Domestic Security Division, broke into Mr. Nan Yingshi's home on the evening of September 25, 2014, and arrested him. They searched his home and took a computer, a printer, a DVD burner, a cell phone, more then 100 Falun Gong books, and other personal belongings. Mr. Nan was detained for 15 days. He was released and returned home on October 11.

Ms. Yan Jifen was arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong.

9. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jin Yinglan Detained

Ms. Jin Yinglan, about 53 years old, was arrested on the afternoon of December 7, 2014, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She is being held in a detention center.

10. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Meiling Arrested

Ms. Li Meiling, about 40, was arrested on December 13, 2014.

11. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ji Ping and Two Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Ji Ping and Ms. Kang Ying were arrested on November 25, 2014. Both were held in the Qiqihar City No. 1 Detention Center. Ms. Yang Fengrong was arrested at home on the afternoon of December 11, 2014.

12. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Xinying Sentenced to Five Years in Prison

Ms. Liu Xinying was arrested on September 23, 2014. She was denied admission by detention center officials due to her physical condition. She was then taken to the Dalian City No. 210 Hospital. The court held a hearing for her on September 29. She has been held in the Yaojia Detention Center since then. She was sentenced to five and a half years in prison in mid-November.

Ms. Liu's husband, Mr. Qu Hui, passed away as a result of the persecution. Their underage daughter is at home on her own.

13. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Meiqin and Ms. Zheng Lanmei Arrested

Ms. Dong Meiqin and Ms. Zheng Lanmei were arrested on December 9, 2014, for talking to people about Falun Gong. The police searched their homes. They took Zhuan Falun, among other Falun Gong books, and informational materials from Ms. Dong's home. Both practitioners are now in the Laixi Detention Center.

14. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Tan Guowen, Ms. Feng Guifen and her husband, Ms. Xing Zhiping, and Mr. Lu Dawei were arrested on the afternoon of December 8, 2014. The police then broke into Mr. Feng Guofu's home. Mr. Feng managed to escape. Ms. Feng Guifen was released. Mr. Tan and Mr. Lu were taken to the Lingyuan Detention Center. Ms. Xing is being held in the Xidayingzi Detention Center.

15. [Chongqing] Six Practitioners Face Trial

The Youyang County Court scheduled a hearing on December 22, 2014, for Mr. Du Xiangxi, Ms. Qin Huaxian, Mr. Qin Aimin, Mr. Wang Aihua, Mr. Tian Qimei, and Mr. Zhang Xianbi.

16. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Elderly Ms. Liu Yufeng Arrested

A stranger posing as a courier knocked on Ms. Liu Yufeng's door on the morning of December 12. As soon as Ms. Liu, 75, opened up, about seven officers rushed in and pushed Ms. Liu down on the couch. They searched her home and took a computer and a large amount of cash. Ms. Liu was taken to the Lijiaoqiao Police Station. She was taken home that afternoon.

17. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Elderly Ms. Zhang Shufeng Arrested

Elderly Ms. Zhang Shufeng from the Zhifu District was stopped by a 610 Office agent, who was waiting outside, as soon as she stepped out the door on the morning of December 12, 2014. The man made a phone call for reinforcements. They ransacked her home. The officers took about 4,500 yuan in cash, a cell phone, and other items. Ms. Zhang was arrested but released that afternoon.

18. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Lianqun Arrested

Ms. Wang Lianqun was arrested on November 12, 2014, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials.

19. [Tianjin] Ms. Gao Shuyun Detained

Ms. Gao Shuyun, in her 50s, from the Xiqing District, Zhongbei Town, was arrested on December 5, 2014, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She is being held in the Tianjin No. 1 Detention Center.

20. [Jiutai City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Guozhi Detained

Mr. Zhang Guozhi was arrested early on December 13, 2014. He is being held in the Weizigou Detention Center.
