Additional Persecution News from China – December 14, 2014 (17 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, 1 died from torture, and at least 25 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Laiwu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Erni Sentenced

Ms. Liu Erni was arrested and taken to the Shengzhuang Detention Center on July 25, 2014. She was sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Daiyue District Court on October 8, 2014.

2. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tang Minghai Sentenced

Ms. Tang Minghai was arrested on April 22, 2014 for distributing informational DVDs about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was tried in a detention center and sentenced to four years in prison on November 17, 2014.

3. [Neijiang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Tan Degang Tortured

Mr. Tan Degang, in his 30s, has been tortured in the No. 8 Ward of Jiazhou Prison in Leshan City. He was recently taken to Shuangliujingguan Hospital for treatment when he developed liver cancer. The provincial Justice Department has refused to grant him medical parole.

4. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Zhang Benjun Detained

Mr. Zhang Benjun was arrested by officers from the Dabei Police Station in the Dongchuan District on December 11, 2014. He was taken to the Kunming City Detention Center.

5. [Yanshi City, Henan Province] Mr. Han Shunxing and Ms. Qiao Ling Arrested

Mr. Han Shunxing and Ms. Qiao Ling were recently arrested by Mangling Police for talking to the public about the persecution of Falun Gong.

6. [Changji City, Xinjiang Province] Ms. Ma Jumei Arrested

Ms. Ma Jumei was arrested at home by officers from the Luzhoulu and Yannanlu police stations on December 9, 2014.

7. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Guohua Detained

Ms. Sun Guohua was arrested by officers from the Changtu County Domestic Security Division on December 3, 2014. She is being held at the Changtu County Detention Center.

8. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Sun Yufa Arrested

Mr. Sun Yufa was recently arrested by personnel from the 610 Office. He was later released after failing a physical examination.

9. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Bo Sumin Detained

Ms. Bo Sumin was arrested on December 11, 2014 for talking to people about Falun Gong and distributing desk calendars containing information about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held at the Panjin No. 3 Detention Center. The police seized her cell phone, Falun Gong books, and calendars.

10. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Haiying Detained

Ms. Zhang Haiying, sentenced to a seven-year prison term in October 2012, is still being held in Dabei Women's Prison in Shenyang.

11. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Yufeng Zhen, her sister and brother-in-law, and Ms. Cao Guohui were arrested and taken to the Fenjin Brainwashing Center in Changchun on December 7, 2014.

12. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Jiang Suzhen Arrested

Ms. Jiang Suzhen was recently arrested.

13. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Song Guixiang and her daughter Ms. Li Xue were arrested and taken to the Fuan Police Station on December 9, 2014. The police seized printers, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, and Falun Gong books. Ms. Song is still being held at a detention center. Her daughter was released on December 13, 2014.

14. [Qufu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Honglan and Ms. Wang Qin Detained

Ms. Liu Honglan, in her 70s, and Ms. Wang Qin, in her 50s, were arrested by officers from the Nanguan Police Station on December 10, 2014 for talking to the public about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Jining City Detention Center.

15. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Detained

Mr. Han Chonghui, Mr. Zou Liming, Ms. Ni Lan, Ms. Wang Ying, Ms. Wang Xuefei, and Ms. Wang Xuetao were arrested on December 10, 2014. They are all being held at the Panjin City Detention Center.

16. [Xingtang County, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Yuan, Mr. Han Junping, Ms. Guo Qin, Ms. Liu Guizhen, and Mr. Yang were arrested by officers from the Shangyanzhuang Police Station on December 9, 2014 for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Xingtang County Police Department and Longzhou Police Department.

Ms. Mi Junying was arrested on December 10. Police also ransacked her home.

The four female practitioners are being held in Shijiazhuang City; Mr. Han and Mr. Yang are detained at the Xingtang Detention Center.
