(Minghui.org) The air is filled with the sound of dripping water. Water drops keep coming down, one by one, from high in the sky, to a bottom so deep that it can't be seen, going through the middle of a big mountain. The drops have made a hole through the mighty mountain.
People watch in awe. It may take billions of years for dripping water to penetrate the mountain. I cannot describe the dripping water's indomitable spirit and profound meaning, but I realize that it demonstrates a formidable power.
This is what I saw in a dream. After I sent forth righteous thoughts one morning, I laid down and fell asleep. Speakers from my computer played the music, Jishi. In the music, I could hear the water dripping and saw such an amazing scene.
I was moved deeply in my heart. Suddenly I understood many Fa principles. Our cultivation is just like the dripping water. Our progress goes bit by bit, over time.
Many of our attachments, however hard to get rid of, are removed piece by piece via Fa study and true cultivation day by day. The spirit of perseverance helps us overcome many problems. A sincere and determined mind can move mountains. This is how we improve in personal cultivation.
This is also what happens when we tell people about Falun Gong and help them withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Does this work to expose the CCP's crimes? Many people, including some Dafa practitioners, ask: “Is this of any use? Who could possibly bring down such a powerful regime?”
However, Dafa disciples do not give up. A conversation, a letter, a fax, a phone call, … are just like dripping water. As people who understand the truth keep withdrawing from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, the CCP shrinks and gradually dissolves. The attitude of those who hear the truth changes from a sneer in the beginning to eventual respect.
The most powerful force possessed by a person is his spirit, a spirit of perseverance that is compelling and convincing, and a righteous spirit that can move others.
Dripping water is very soft, but its persistence is extremely powerful. Over time, it can penetrate rock and mountains! How strong that is!
