(Minghui.org) Amid the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP's) massive suppression of Falun Gong in China, many people have learned the facts of the persecution through the efforts of practitioners over the past 10-plus years; some have even helped spread the message.
Practitioners shared their stories of people they spoke to about Falun Gong on November 7, the day before the 2014 Taiwan Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference, and how those people became mobile media.
One practitioner named Mr. Wang met a person living in China on the Internet who used special software to break through the CCP's Internet firewall. This person learned about the persecution of Falun Gong and told his friends what he learned. He wrote that “My friends said they also passed on the information to other people they know.”
Ms. Qiu, a lady in her 60s, had a similar experience. She often contacted mainland Chinese online and helped them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. “Sometimes after chatting with them, even before I explained why they needed to quit the Party, some of them had already asked about it—apparently, they had previously heard about it.”
Ms. Qiu once told a Chinese man that the so-called Tiananmen self-immolation incident was staged to defame Falun Gong. The person said that he already knew it, and said, “I was near Tiananmen Square on that day and I knew it to be fake.” Ms. Qiu helps about 30-40 Chinese quit the CCP every day.
After talking to practitioners, many people in China were interested in learning Falun Gong. A practitioner named Mr. Wang met a person on the Internet who had heard about Falun Gong as early as 1999. After getting software to break through China's Internet firewall in 2009, he learned about the severity of the persecution. “I shared the software with many friends so that they could also learn the real story.”
This same person told Mr. Wang that he had downloaded Falun Gong books on the Internet and decided to become a practitioner. “He thanked me again and again,” Mr. Wang said.
Another practitioner named Ms. Chen, also in her 60s, often chatted with Chinese on the Internet to tell them about the persecution. After viewing the materials she sent them, people would often ask for more information or decide to quit the CCP. Some asked their friends to quit the Party through Ms. Chen. One of them now practices Falun Gong, and told Ms. Chen, “I like the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I have gained a lot from following them.”
