(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhao Bin, a 42-year-old regional manager at Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), was illegally arrested on October 21, 2014, near his home in Beijing.
Mr. Zhao's family is not allowed to visit him, and they haven't heard from him since his arrest.
Several other local practitioners were reportedly arrested that same morning near their homes.
Mr. Zhao was stopped by four police officers outside his home in the Fengtai District at 7 a.m. on October 21.
His wife tried to stop the police. They did not respond when asked why Mr. Zhao was being arrested.
One police officer called for more help. About 20 officers showed up and took Mr. Zhao and his wife to the Donggaodi Police Station in separate cars. Both were transferred to the Fengtai District Detention Center that night.
Mr. Zhao's wife was detained for eight days for “assaulting and interfering with a law enforcement officer.”
After returning home, Ms. Zhao's wife discovered that their home had been ransacked. The police confiscated two printers, a laptop computer, a desktop computer, three tablets, and many Falun Gong books and DVDs.
