Additional Persecution News from China – October 31, 2014 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 11 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Held in Detention Center

Ms. Zhang Shuhua, Mr. Zhu Yaxian, Mr. Pang Zengde, Mr. Shan Guangdong, and Ms. Luo Xizhen are being held in the Changliu Detention Center.

2. [Chongqing] Ms. Fang Ping Arrested

Ms. Fang Ping, 57, from the Qijiang District, was arrested by Gong Guanghong and other officers from the Qijiang Domestic Security Division when she was picking up her granddaughter from kindergarten on October 13, 2014. She was taken to the Wenlong Police Station and interrogated, and her home was ransacked. Ms. Fang was released that evening.

3. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Wu Weiming Arrested

Mr. Wu Weiming was arrested by officers from the Wuhulu Police Station on October 30, 2014. His whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Hong and Mr. Shi Bin Detained

Ms. Zhang Hong and Mr. Shi Bin were arrested by agents from the 610 Office and the local police station on October 30, 2014. They were taken to the Fenjin Brainwashing Center.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Minghua Transferred to Prison

Ms. Xu Minghua, from Zhuanghe, was transferred from the Dalian Detention Center to the Liaoning Provincial Women's Prison on October 21, 2014.

6. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yu Shuxiang and Ms. Yang Ping Arrested

Ms. Yu Shuxiang, from Nancha, was taken to a brainwashing center on October 24, 2014, because she was distributing calendars with messages about Falun Gong printed on them. The police took her Falun Gong books and other items, and extorted 1000 yuan from her.

Ms. Yang Ping was arrested by Wang Yuhui and others from Nancha on October 30, 2014. Her laptop computer, books, and electronic player were confiscated.

7. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Wenguo Detained

Ms. Wang Wenguo from the Baodi District was arrested at home by officers from the Haibin Police Station on October 28, 2014. She is being held in the Baodi Detention Center.

8. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhao Weihong Detained

Mr. Zhao Weihong, who worked at the Daqing Oil Fields Petrochemical Group Corp. Light Ends Fractionation Branch, was arrested at work on October 30, 2014. He was taken to the Qiqihar Brainwashing Center.

Mr. Song Daolin, in his fifties, was reported to police and arrested for talking about Falun Gong on October 22, 2014. He was taken to the Dazhu Detention Center. His home was ransacked and his motorized tricycle confiscated.

10. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Zhenyu Detained

Ms. Li Zhenyu was arrested for distributing informational brochures about Falun Gong in early September 2014. She was taken to the Maoming Detention Center.

11. [Tianjin] Mr. Dong Wencai Arrested

Mr. Dong Wencai was arrested on October 8, 2014, by officers from the Shuanggang Police Station in the Jinnan District, for explaining facts to people about Falun Gong. His home was ransacked, and his Falun Gong books, Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs, and informational materials about Falun Gong were confiscated.
