(Minghui.org) Editor's note: The nationwide persecution of Falun Gong has implicated many Chinese people at various places in the persecution system, including labor camps, prisons, detention centers, police stations, and more. Falun Gong practitioners have persisted in clarifying the facts to them. Many have learned the consequences, in the form of karmic retribution, and have decided to stop participating in the persecution. The author shares with us a few true stories in his personal experience.

“I really don't understand why they take good people here.”

The division head at the labor camp came to our cell one night during my detention there. He was mad because all of the practitioners in our cell announced that the guarantee statements that they had been forced to write under the pressure were null and void.

I said to him, “Practitioners are held here just because they persist in their beliefs, and strive to be good people according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They didn't violate the law, so what crime have they committed? Falun Gong practitioners are kind and truthful to everyone. The practice brings great benefits to society.

“However, what does the prison teach inmates? Violence. You force people to stand in military stance, run around the yard, or stand under the baking sun for a long time. You order inmates to beat and torture a practitioner just because he said, 'Happy birthday to Master Li Hongzhi.'

“Some inmates have returned to the labor camp more than ten times, why can't you make them good? Because you don't convince them with true principles. You don't treat them with a kind heart, so you can't make people good. You people violate the law while enforcing the law.”

He thought for a while and said, “The way the CCP treats you is wrong.” Another guard said, “I really don't understand why they bring good people here.”

Inmate No Longer Persecutes Practitioners

An inmate in the same cell as me, who had been sentenced for stealing, was ordered to persecute practitioners. I needed to talk to him, as I knew he would soon be released. I thought if he carried on committing wrong deeds, he would not only harm himself, but also his family and society.

So I said to him, “You are only 21, but you have been brought here twice. Have you ever thought about how sad your parents are, and how hard it was for them to bring you up? After you are released, try to rely on yourself to make a living. Your parents must hope that you return home earlier, and get married.

“I am sure they want to be grandparents. Don't disappoint them again. Don't get involved in the persecution again, otherwise, you will receive karmic retribution. Tell your friends and relatives that Falun Dafa (another name for Falun Gong) is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”

He said in the end, “I have met many Falun Gong practitioners, and they are all good people. The guards force me to give you a hard time. If I didn't do it, they would torture me. I will no longer commit this crime. I won't steal things and do wrong things after I return home.”

PLAC Official: “The Communist Party is evil”

I was taken to the local brainwashing center in 2001, while I was doing farming work. I asked the CCP officials there, “Every time you went to my home or land, you saw I was doing my work. I haven't violated the law, so why do you bring me here?” They were all silent.

They took turns to “chat” with me in the afternoon. The head of the local Domestic Security Division asked me whether I dyed my hair, and why it looked quite black. I told him, “That is because I get the benefits from doing Falun Gong exercises. That is also why we tell people that Falun Dafa is good.”

He touched his hair and said, “My hair is very dry and I also have a pain in my head.” I replied, “I worry about the people who haven't understood the facts about Falun Gong and still do things to hurt practitioners. I hope you will stop doing things like that, and also hope that you and your family have a peaceful life.” He smiled.

An officer and a few other officials later came to talk to me. I said to them, “The former chief of the police department didn't want to listen to me when I told him about Falun Gong. His two sons have both died. There are also more cases of people who were involved in persecuting Falun Gong receiving karmic retribution.

“I think you must know it clearly. Falun Dafa is a Buddha Law! Whoever persecutes Falun Gong practitioners is committing a crime.” The officer started laughing as I finished. He said, “We can't brainwash you. As it turns out, you have brainwashed us. We won't arrest you [Falun Gong practitioners] again.”

A person who works at the local Political and Legal Affairs Committee wanted to make friends with me. He once told me, “In our company, people scheme against each other. The CCP is very evil. If someone were to overthrow them, I would join them.”

I told him that practitioners only help people to quit the CCP and choose a bright future for themselves.

He said to me, “Take care of myself. I can't help much if you are arrested again.” He also informed me that he received orders to carry on with the brainwashing sessions, but he planned to cease cooperating.

The local brainwashing center has now been dismantled.

Guard Resigns from Labor Camp Job

I met a guard at the labor camp who taught politics. He asked me one day, “Your teacher said that we guards are all reincarnated minor ghosts from hell. What's your take on this?”

I thought for a while and replied, “My teacher also said many times that he has come here to save people. He comes for sentient beings! You are a guard; this is your job. But you are also a person. As long as you don't persecute Falun Gong practitioners, you are one of those beings who will be saved. Some guards follow orders and persecute Falun Gong practitioners. They have done many bad things. If they don't repent and mend their ways, they will receive karmic retribution, and the outcome will be severe.”

He then no longer talked about politics and law during his lecture. He later resigned from the labor camp.
