(Minghui.org) The family of Ms. Shan Fugui was informed via registered mail in September 2014, that Ms. Shan had been sentenced to three years in prison, and had been transferred to the Shandong Province Women's Prison.

Ms. Shan, 46, a Falun Gong practitioner from Tanpu Village, Mengyin County, Shandong Province, was arrested on March 22, 2014, for giving out Falun Gong materials in the neighboring town of Yedian.

More than a dozen police officers ransacked her house and confiscated Falun Gong informational materials and other personal belongings. Ms. Shan was illegally detained for two weeks.

When her family went to the Mengyin County Detention Center to take her home after two weeks, they were told that Ms. Shan would not be released, and had been transferred to the Linyi Detention Center.

Persecuted Since Onset of Persecution

Ms. Shan was detained and Chinese Communist Party (CCP) minions in 1999, and extorted of more than 6,000 yuan, for appealing in Beijing for the right to practice Falun Gong.

She was held in a brainwashing center in 2000. Officials attempted to extort 2,000 yuan from her family, but the family was too poor to make the payment. Pan Yushan, government organization commissioner, ordered agent Zhao Dong and others to beat Ms. Shan. They pushed her to the ground and beat her with clubs. Her back and buttocks was black and blue from the beating.

Ms. Shan was sentenced to two years of forced labor in Spring 2006. Officers from the Tanpu Town Police Station, along with town government agents, broke into her house and arrested her.
