Nine Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested on the Same Day Around Chengdu City

(Minghui.org) Six Falun Gong practitioners from Chengdu City were illegally arrested by local police and neighborhood administration offices on September 28, 2014. Two Falun Gong practitioners from other cities were also arrested. The practitioners arrested were: Ms. Wen Yuechao, Ms. Zhang Linyue, Ms. Guo Lirong, Mr. Chen Tianfu, Ms. Guo Guangyan, Ms. Guo Guangrong, Ms. Liu Wenxin, and Ms. Du Fengxin.

Ms. Zhang Linyue from Nanchong City and Ms. Wen Yuechao from Panzhihua City were arrested at different times at Shizixiang Lane in Chengdu City on the morning of September 28. Ms. Wen was released back to his home at Panzhihua City, but Ms. Zhang's situation is unknown.

Ten to twelve individuals from the Fuqinglu Police Branch Station, the Fuqing Neighborhood Administration, and the local community office broke into Ms. Guo Lirong's home at 1:05 a.m., and took her to the police station. They then ransacked her home for the next two hours. At around 10:00 that evening Ms. Guo's father and sister went to the police station and requested her release. The police abruptly chased them away.

A policeman with the last name of Lin from the Qinglongchang Police Station, and the Qinglong Community Director with the surname Yue went to Mr. Chen Tianfu's home around 11:00 a.m. on September 28. They remained there for two hours, and then took Mr. Chen to the police station.

It has been learned that four elderly practitioners Ms. Guo Guangyan, Ms. Guo Guangrong, Ms. Liu Wenxin, and Ms. Du Fengxin were also arrested.

Qingfulu police arrested Ms. Yang Shuhua at 4:00 p.m. later that day. Her sister and niece went to the police station to ask for her release. They waited six hours to speak to someone when police drove them away without a word. Ms. Yang has now been released.
