(Minghui.org) In early 2011, some of our local coordinators were in discord, playing the blame game and refusing to listen to anyone who tried to intervene. This affected all the practitioners in our area, dividing them into separate groups. I tried to talk to the coordinators but was unsuccessful in healing the rift among them.

About six months later, on August 30, 2011, the police arrested over 20 practitioners, causing the financial loss of over 200,000 yuan. I think that this incident was a hint from Teacher to again discuss the issue with our coordinators so that we can all improve and avoid being taken advantage of by the old forces.

We tried to rescue the detained practitioners. However, the coordinator and another practitioner who were instrumental in the rescue effort were in conflict and played the blame game. They each tried to have practitioners take sides and the matter lingered on until today.

Analyzing the Process

The practitioners were arrested in August 2011. The procuratorate first sent the case back to the Public Security Bureau, suggesting that they lacked the evidence to try the practitioners. The Public Security Bureau then submitted fabricated evidence to the procuratorate, which again was rejected. This didn't deter the Public Security Bureau from coming up with more fabricated evidence.

In late July 2012, the local court illegally sentenced the practitioners to prison for terms ranging from five and a half to ten years. On December 10, 2012, the practitioners were taken to the prison, which refused to accept them. The local security office took them again to the prison, which refused to accept them again. The practitioners are still detained at the local detention center.

Getting Hints Concerning Shortcomings

We all know that everything happens for a reason for a cultivator. Teacher is watching over us and gives hints to prevent us from missteps.

1. It took one year for the practitioners to be sentenced and another six months before they were taken to prison. What would Teacher expect us to do during that time? He wanted us to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa, rescue our fellow practitioners, and save sentient beings in the legal system. How did we clarify the truth? You did it your way and I did it my way. We blamed and complained about each other. Is this what Teacher wants from us?

Teacher taught us,

“When you meet with a conflict, it doesn’t matter whether you are in the right. You should be asking yourself, 'What on my part isn’t right in this situation? Might it really be that there is something wrong on my part?' You should all be thinking this way, with your first thought being to scrutinize yourself to try to find the problem. Whoever is not like this is not in fact a true cultivator of Dafa. It is a magical tool in our cultivation. This is a distinguishing feature of our Dafa disciples’ cultivation. Whatever it is that you encounter, the first thought should be to scrutinize yourself, and it’s called “looking within.” (“What is a Dafa Disciple”)

“If you, as a student [of Dafa], do not follow Master's requirements, it is definitely no simple thing. The old forces have arranged for all Dafa disciples a set of their things, so if a Dafa disciple doesn't follow Master's requirements, he must be following the old forces' arrangements. The old forces are in essence gigantic trials and tribulations that accompany you at all times, focused on whether in Fa-rectification Dafa disciples are able to step forward … If after going through this ordeal some students are still not clearheaded, then they will miss [the opportunities presented in] all of this. Only when you follow Master's requirements are you validating the Fa and cultivating yourself as a Dafa disciple, and only then are you a true Dafa disciple.” (“Be Clearheaded”)

Instead of following Teacher’s words, we blamed each other.

2. Our fellow practitioners were taken to prison twice but rejected each time, so they are still being tortured in the local detention center. Why is this?

“Calmly reflect on how many attachments you have. As you get rid of human mentality, evil is naturally defeated.” (“Don’t Be Sad,”Hong Yin II)

Teacher gave us hints to find our fundamental attachment and eliminate it. What is our fundamental attachment? Think about it. Before the onset of the persecution, we complained and blamed others. We looked for others’ faults. And despite the persecution, we are still playing the blame game instead of looking within. We haven't changed.

Isn’t the blame game our fundamental attachment? If we had eliminated it before July 1999, could the persecution have materialized? Would our practitioners still suffer torture? Didn’t we fail to recognize Teacher’s hint?

In fact, Teacher clearly pointed it out:

“When you are working together and experience friction, it is because of human attachments. That is part of one’s cultivation state and process, and absolutely not because someone is truly no good. A person’s good side can’t be seen anymore, as it has been separated. What you see will always be the side that has not been cultivated yet. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a compassionate heart, or should look at people in rigid ways. I’ve said again and again that you cannot see a cultivator’s good side. That side is simply terrific, and has met the standard. And what does it mean to 'meet the standard'? It is the standard of a god. Whereas the part of him that hasn’t been successfully cultivated yet, that part is going to seem worse as it works its way up and gets closer to the surface. But, maybe that person has cultivated very well. I hope that you all cherish yourselves, cherish others, and cherish this environment that you have. Cherishing the path that you travel is cherishing yourselves … When you seek to save the world’s people, you try to get them to awaken so that you can save them. Well, you too need to get clear, to wake up. It’s a problem if you forget about your cultivation because of doing too many things. You are cultivators. I’m not talking about your past, what you once were, or what you display on the surface. I am talking about your core and the meaning of your life, the responsibility you shoulder, and your historic mission. Only thus are you truly a Dafa disciple.” (“What is a Dafa Disciple”)

Fellow practitioners, let’s stop pointing fingers at each other and worrying over “who is right and who is wrong.” We should be all clearheaded about this.

The above is my understanding. Please kindly point out anything inappropriate.
