(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Tan Guibo and Ms. Wang Xiuhua of Tangezhuang Town, Laiyang City, Shandong Province were arrested by local police on December 21, 2012. Police confiscated Mr. Tan Guibo's belongings and stole 17,900 yuan.
At about 9 a.m. on December 21, 2012, Mr. Tan and Ms. Wang were reported by Dong Hui, Security Officer in Zhusheng Village, when they were explaining the facts about Falun Dafa to people at the Zhusheng Village fair. Four policemen from the Tangezhuang Town Police Station arrested them. At around 9:30 a.m., 610 Office agents Ma Shuguang, Liang Bing, Lu Jiangang, and Xiu of Laiyang of the City Domestic Security Division arrived at the Tangezhuang Town Police Station to interrogate Mr. Tan and Ms. Wang. Liang Bing slapped Mr. Tan Guibo's face several times.
At around 7 p.m., Liang Bing and Lu Jiangang, police station vice manager Sun Fei and several policemen ransacked Mr. Tan's home without a search warrant. About 10:30 p.m., police Ma Shuguang and Xiu also arrived to ransack Mr. Tan's home. They ate the food that was present in the home. The police confiscated a cell phone, a printer, computer, two paper cutters, and a box of photocopy paper. They also stole 17,900 yuan, which was money earmarked for the wedding of Mr. Tan's son.
The police arrested Mr. Tan's family, forced them to sign the seizure list, which did not include the 17,900 yuan, and didn't give the family a copy of the seizure document. The two practitioners were detained between 14 and 15 days.
On returning home, Mr. Tan discovered the disappearance of the money. He immediately demanded that the Domestic Security Division return the money. Police denied taking it, threatened him and shouted: “Go ahead, sue us!”
