(Minghui.org) The Chongchuan District Police Department, Procuratorate Office, and Court Department have worked together with the Jiangsu Provincial 610 Office and the Nantong City 610 Office to start another round of sentencing Falun Gong practitioners to prison.
On April 8th, at 2:00 p.m., the Chongchuan District Court of Nantong City sentenced another six practitioners. They are: Liu Ping, Ms. Xu Meiying, Ms. Chen Ruzhen, Mr. Jiang Yingsheng, Mr. Sun Shixin, and Mr. Huang Guoqiang. Most of them are over sixty or seventy years of age, and they were each given a sentence of three to seven years. They were sentenced for printing “Falun Dafa is good,” and “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are good” on paper money.
Prior to this, on January 21st, the Chongchuan District Court of Nantong City put Mr. Shan Hanru, Mr. Huang Hanlin, Ms. Wang Lei, Ms. Zhang Jufen, Mr. Ji Jian, and Ms. Cai Mingfang, on trial. A lawyer from Beijing defended them for three hours. The local people requested their immediate release. The Chongchuan District Court hurried through the matter, and detained these practitioners at the Nantong City Detention Center.
On March 7th, the Chongchuan District Court secretly sentenced Shan Hanru, Huang Hanlin, Wang Lei, Zhang Jufeng, Ji Jiang, and Cai Mingfang to seven and a half years, seven years, seven years, four years, three years and three months, and three years imprisonment, respectively. Shan Hanru immediately replied: “Falun Dafa is good.”
Shan Hanru appealed to the Nantong City Intermediate Court to request an immediate release. The Nantong City Immediate Court delayed the trial on March 28 by an hour. Controlled by the Jiangsu Provincial 610 Office, the presiding judge and the prosecutors rushed through the procedure.
When the defense lawyer asked the reason for each Falun Gong practitioner's arrest, Mr. Huang Hanlin exposed in court that the staff instructed by the 610 Office broke into his room and dragged him from his bed, and confiscated his personal property.
Hunag Hanlin had been persecuted because he carved a stamp with the words “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” and stamped it on the wall.
In spite of the constant interference of the presiding judge, the righteous lawyer still defended Shan Hanru and other Falun Gong practitioners. One hour later, the presiding judge announced an adjournment. When the visiting audience wanted to continue to listen, they were told that it was over. In this way, they rushed through the matter. As of today, five of these six practitioners are still jailed at the Nantong City Detention Center. Ms. Cai Mingfang was bailed out for medical treatment.
