Retired Doctor Persecuted for Telling People about the Benefits of Falun Gong

(Minghui.org) Ms. Zhang Ronghuan, a retired doctor who practices Falun Gong in Xuchang, Henan Province, was arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong on the street on April 1, 2013. A group of police officers broke into Ms. Zhang's home that afternoon and took her Falun Dafa books and other items of personal property. She is still imprisoned in an unknown place.

This is not the first time that Ms. Zhang has suffered persecution. She was previously arrested from her home in June 2006 and was sentenced to three years and six months in prison. She was cruelly tortured in Xinxiang Women's Prison. Facing severe beatings, solitary confinement and other forms of persecution, Ms. Zhang refused to be transformed. When she was finally released, she had lost so much weight that she was little more than skin and bones.

Illnesses Cured through Falun Gong

Before she began practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Zhang used to have primary autonomic insufficiency, a rare disease and hard to treat. She had a heart condition and was constantly short of breath. She frequently passed out. No doctor or hospital could cure her.

Ms. Zhang's health greatly improved after she became a Falun Gong practitioner in 1997. She followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and told others about how great Falun Gong is. However, she was imprisoned for sharing her experience of the wonderful benefits of the practice.
