(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces. In this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 6 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Ms. Yan Yuhua Passes Away Due to Persecution
Ms. Yan Yuhua from Beijing is in her fifties. She was arrested in August 2012. During the arrest a female officer from the Wanshousi Police Station dragged her so roughly that her rib was broken. Authorities from the Haidian Detention Center sent her to the Police Department Hospital, where she was forced to have injection of an unidentified drug.
Ms. Yan was severely tortured and became unable to look after herself when she was released from the Beijing Detention Center in late November 2012. As a result of being tortured with drugs for an extended period, she was in very poor health, however agents from the local police station and detention center still constantly harassed her. Officers from the local police station called her around March 15-16, 2013, and told her that they were planning to arrest her again. Ms. Yan passed away in panic on March 18, 2013.
2. [Jingjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Jingjiang City Court Authorities Detain Defense Attorney
Attorney Wang Quanzhang from Beijing requested to meet his client, practitioner Ms. Zhu Yanian, many times. However, the requests were all denied by Domestic Security Division authorities. The Jingjiang City Court in Taizhou held a court session for Ms. Zhu Yanian on April 3, 2013, but no arguments were given during the hearing. Before recess, attorney Wang took photographs of documents that were to be submitted for backup purposes. The presiding judge ordered that attorney Wang be taken out of courtroom during the recess. Mr. Wang was then sent to a detention center on the morning of April 5, 2013 for a term of ten days.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wu Bilin Held in Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center
Ms. Wu Bilin from Wuhan City went out on March 21, 2013 and has been home since. By searching through various channels, it has now been confirmed that she is being held in the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center. This is the fourteenth time she has been detained.
4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo Lijun Held in Zaohua Detention Center for Almost Two Weeks
5. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Current Situation of Practitioners Arrested on March 20, 2013
Three of the practitioners arrested on March 20, 2013 have been released. Ms. Xue Guiyun and Ms. Tong Shuhua were taken to the Jilin Detention Center. Mr. Li Hongyu is still being held in the Huadian Detention Center.
6. [Chongqing] Ms. Yang Hong and Ms. Su Tianfeng Arrested
Ms. Su Tianfeng, in her sixties, and Ms. Yang Hong from Jiangbei District, Chongqing were arrested by officers from the Jiulongpo District around March 20, 2013. Agents from the Jiangbei District 610 Office later took Ms. Yang away, and her home was ransacked. Ms. Yang was released the next day. Ms. Su's whereabouts are still unknown.
7. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Xu Sugen Held for 15 Days
Ms. Xu Sugen from Suzhou City was reported to police by three students, for explaining facts about Falun Gong on the afternoon of April 3, 2013. It was learned that she was sent to the Suzhou City No. 1 Detention Center that evening.
8. [Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Duan Xiufang and Mr. Xie Xianbin's Homes Ransacked
Yang Ziheng and three other officers searched Ms. Duan Xiufang's home in Acheng District on March 26, 2013. Several copies of Falun Gong books were confiscated during the search.

9. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Lihua, Ms. Gu Qingling, and Ms. Jin Fenglian Detained
Ms. Liu Lihua, Ms. Gu Qingling, and Ms. Jin Fenglian from Fate Town, Shulan City were arrested by officers from the Fate Town Police Station for distributing Shen Yun DVDs in Huangyu Village, Fate Town on the morning of April 3, 2013. Their homes were ransacked that afternoon. Four Falun Gong books and twenty pages of correspondence were confiscated from Ms. Jin Fenglian's home. Three practitioners were sent to the Nanshan Detention Center in Shulan City that evening.

10. [Fangzheng County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Jinying Arrested in Early April 2013
11. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Family Visits to Ms. Wu Limei in Shenyang Women's Prison Denied
Ms. Wu Limei from Shenbei New District, Shenyang City is being held in the Shenyang Women's Prison. Members of her family went to visit her on March 3, 2013, a stipulated visitation date, however, the prison authorities did not allow them to meet with her.
12. [Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Zou Zhaokui Detained
Mr. Zou Zhaokui from Gongyuanbei Village, Xinyu City was arrested by officers from the Beihu Police Station. He is being held in the Xinyu Detention Center.
