Additional Persecution News from China – February 6, 2013 (15 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 19 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Nenjiang County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Lin Detained

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Lin, around 58 years old, was arrested by police from Xinhua Police Station on February 4. That night she was sent to Nenjiang Detention Center. As a result of a stroke, Ms. Li's husband has been paralyzed for many years. After Ms. Li was detained, there is no one to take care of him. Her mother is nearly 80 years old and is in ill health, and she now has no one to take care of her either.

2. [Suning County, Hebei Province] Ms. Daxiu and Ms. Mingfeng Arrested on February 3

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Persecuted by Nanling Police Station

Nanling Police Station personnel participated in the persecution of practitioners in March 2010. Ms. Zhang Fengqin and Ms. Yin Jun were illegally sentenced to one year and six months of forced labor. Mr. Shang Xiaodong was sentenced to one year of forced labor and Ms. Yao Li was detained for one month.

4. [Ling County, Shandong Province] Ms. Gu Wenhua Held in Forced Labor Camp

Fifty-three-year-old Ms. Gu Wenhua from Chengguan Town, Xifeng Village was arrested by police on January 15. She was subsequently detained at Ling County Detention Center for 15 days. After they failed to extort money from her, the authorities sentenced her to one year of forced labor at Jinan Forced Labor Camp. As a result of the mistreatment Ms. Gu was subjected to, she developed severe symptoms of illness such as having a heart attack and high blood pressure, yet they still refused to release her.

Ms. Xiaoying and her daughter, who live in Taocheng District, were arrested by police on the night of February 4, when they explained the facts about the persecution to people. Money was extorted from their family and her daughter was released on the morning of the second day. Ms Xiaoying is still being held at the city's detention center.

Ms. Xu Xiuzhi was arrested by police on February 2.

7. [Nanchang, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Su Ming Arrested

Mr. Su Ming, who is in his 50's, was listed as wanted on the Internet by the 610 Office and the police department. For more than five years, he was forced to leave home and go from place to place to avoid arrest. In January of this year, the head of Xihu Police Department and Li, head of the Chaoyang Police Station, went to his house and told his nearly 90-year-old parents to take Mr. Su home, as the arrest warrant was canceled. Less than a week after Mr. Su returned home, on February 4, he was arrested.

Ms. Ji Fenghua and Mr. Li Chenglong are being held at Yanhu District Detention Center.

9. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yang Fujun Sent to Brainwashing Center and Persecuted Twice

Dongchang District 610 Office agents dragged Mr. Yang Fujun to a brainwashing center and persecuted him on September 19, 2012. He was released on September 29.

10. [Yibin City, Sichuan Province] Chen Jianhua Currently Detained

Mr. Chen Jianhua from Nanxi was arrested while clarifying the truth on the morning of January 22. His computer, cell phone, Dafa books, truth clarifying materials and other personal belongings were confiscated. Mr. Chen is now being held at Nanxi Detention Center.

11. [Jiuquan, Gansu Province] Mr. Li Guoxian Imprisoned and Persecuted

Mr. Li Guoxian was sent to Jiuquan Prison after he was sentenced to three years in jail by Zhangye Court officials on November 10, 2011. He was immediately sent to the 4^th division's solitary confinement cell, where he was subjected to further persecution. At the end of 2011, guards threw him into a specially designed iron cage and tortured him. He was kept locked up in the iron cage until May 2012.

13. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Cai Weilong and Ms. Xu Duanxiu Arrested and Harassed

Fifty-eight-year-old Mr. Cai Weilong and his wife Ms. Xu Duanxiu, who is 56 years old, were recently arrested by perpetrators from the 610 Office. Their home was broken into and two computers were taken away. They were also detained and subjected to brainwashing.

14. [Anshun, Guizhou Province] Additional Information on the Arrests of Zhang Enrong and Six Other Practitioners

Mr. Zhang Enrong, Mr. Li Shujun, Ms. Yang Cuihong, Ms. Chen Xiuying and others were charged by Xixiu District Procuratorate on January 31, 2013, five months after they were arrested on August 27, 2012. At present, Yang Cuihong is detained at Anshun City No 2 Detention Center. Zhang Enrong and Li Shujun are detained at No 1 Detention Center. Chen Xiuying is at home awaiting trial.

15. [Jiamusi, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Song Tiemin and Others Arrested

Four to five police officers, including Zhang Weiming from Jiamusi Suburban Domestic Security Division, broke into Mr. Song Tiemin's house on the morning of February 5. They arrested Mr. Song, Ms. Li Xiuwen and Mr. Zhao. They also confiscated Dafa books and brochures, as well as other items. The practitioners were then taken to Yingjun Police Station. Mr. Zhao escaped while the other two are still detained at the police station's suburban branch.
