(Minghui.org) Sometimes I felt really sad when people did not make the right choice no matter how hard I clarified the truth to them. I knew it was because I did not study the Fa well, or I forgot to send forth righteous thoughts, or my compassion was not enough so I was unable to move people's hearts. When watching them leave me, I always wondered if they would have another chance to be saved.
As a practitioner, I knew that I should truly cultivate myself in order to save people. In my hometown, I love the people here and I like to treat everyone as my family member. I truly hope that I can save all of them without leaving anyone behind.
Clarifying the Truth in a Coal Mine
When I was working in my hometown or living in my village, the officials of the local 610 Office, the local police officers or the village officers often harassed me. However, I clarified the truth to each of them. When I asked them if Falun Dafa is good, they all answered yes. But they asked me to practice at home and to write a “guarantee statement” saying that I would no longer practice.
In March, 2005, I found a temporary job at a coal mine. On the first day on the job, the deputy director Guo (given name unknown) came to my place for dinner. My relatives told him that I am a Falun Gong practitioner. I told him that remembering “Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” would bring his family blessings.
Just a few days after I started work, most of my coworkers had learned that I practice Falun Gong. Deputy director Guo always asked me to talk about Falun Gong to the people around us whenever he saw me. I talked about what the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) did to the Chinese people during all sorts of political movements, including the Cultural Revolution, the June 4 Tiananmen Square Massacre, as well as the current persecution of Falun Gong. I told them how many people died during the Great Famine. People around me would also add more stories.
I got to know most of the coworkers withing three months. Many of them did not remember my name, instead, they all called me “Falun Gong.” I told them that Falun Dafa is good and how withdrawing from the CCP and its affiliations would give them a safe future. When some of them did not accept it when I first told them, I found opportunities to talk to them again. Most of the workers acknowledged that Falun Dafa is good. The atmosphere at the coal mine was peaceful.
During the time when I worked underground to transport coal to the ground, power outages happened several times. Once during a power outage, the deputy director called me to his side and gathered all the workers. He asked me to talk more about Falun Gong and about other covered up facts. Everyone became silent to hear me talk. I felt that I was in the limelight. I talked more about the CCP's history of killing people, the beauty of Falun Dafa, the truth about the staged Self-Immolation incident and how Master is saving sentient beings. My kind words touched the workers. I still remember all of their sincere eyes watching me.
Righteous Minds
Since the persecution of Falun Gong began, I have distributed truth-clarification materials to towns, townships and villages all year round on my motorcycle. I hoped to put materials in everyone's hands. However, I lacked righteous thoughts and began to treat truth-clarification as a routine task. Consequently, I was detained twice.
After I worked in the coal mine peacefully for a period of time, the interference came. The director wanted to fire me twice but the deputy director disagreed. On July 1, 2007, the director fired me because the town government officials pressured him. My wife is not a practitioner but she supports me. Her mind was righteous and encouraged me to go reason with the officials.
On the morning of July 2, 2007, I went to talk to the chief of the county Domestic Security Division. He had read many truth-clarification materials. I asked him if he was the one who ordered the director to fire me. He said no and asked me to check with the county 610 Office.
The director of the 610 Office told me it was not him either. He called the coal mine director immediately. The director told him that the town government officials, including the town mayor, the town party secretary and the director of the town People's Congress told him to do so after they saw many Falun Gong materials in town. I asked the director to help me get my job back since I had to make a living. He called the town mayor right away and told him that they should not fire people without any evidence. The town mayor had to agree to talk to the coal mine director in a few days. The director of the 610 Office knew he was dodging his responsibility and said he would help me resolve the problem.
Later, I went to look for him a few times. He had contacted different officials and waited for the coal mine director to respond. On July 25, 2007, I found him again and he told me that the coal mine director did not want me to go back. Town officials claimed that they were unable to interfere with the affairs of a private company. I told them that I would continue to visit them until I was reinstated. My wife supported my idea.
On July 30, 2007, I went to talk to the director of the 610 Office again. He told me that they would hear back from the coal mine director soon. I told him that I might consider to work somewhere else, or go to Beijing to appeal for my case. When I just got back home, he called me and notified me to go to work the next day.
On the next day, when I arrived at the coal mine, many coworkers said, “Falun Gong is back.”
Face-to-Face Truth Clarification
In July 2008, the coal mine was temporarily closed down. So I bought a three-wheel motorcycle to operate my own taxi business. I knew that this was a good opportunity arranged by Master for me to clarify the truth to people.
One day, I gave two girls a ride. Both of them said they joined the Young Pioneers and pledged their loyalty to the CCP. I said to them, “You should think carefully about the vows you made. Every dynasty had an end. When the CCP comes to its end, you will receive retribution along with it. When Titanic sank, no matter what cabin you were in, first-class or economy, you would sink with the ship. Only by getting off it will you be safe. Only when you vow to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliations, will you be safe.” They agreed. I made up two names for their declarations. I also told them the truth about the staged Tiananmen Square self immolation incident, and told them to recite “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” for a good future.
Once a girl happily got on my motorcycle. When I tried to ask her about withdrawing from the CCP and its affiliations, she said, “You told me twice already.” She already withdrew from the CCP and its affiliations. I was sorry that I did not remember her and told her to remember “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
Another time, I gave a ride to a couple of students. I asked them if they knew the truth about the self-immolation incident. They did not know. I told them that it was a hoax. One of the students said, “These elderly men and women came to Beijing from Henan province, where could they find a place to buy gasoline? There is no gasoline station within the 3 rd Ring Road in Beijing. Do you think they just held their coke bottles out and waited for some magic fairies to come and fill their bottles up with gasoline? And then after that they went to to Tiananmen Square to self-immolate?” They all laughed. Another student said, “Maybe they carried their gasoline tanks with them while riding the train to Beijing. The whole cart would smell like gasoline. The security officers on the train were not aware of them or just took care of them with special treatment.” I told them, “Falun Gong teaches the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and practitioners try to become better people. Dafa is known all around the world. It is the Buddha Fa. Remembering 'Falun Dafa is good' will bring you blessings.” I asked them if they were Young Pioneers. They answered yes. I told them that they should vow to withdraw from it and they will have a good future.” They agreed. I made up names for them for their declarations.
Face-to-face truth clarification breaks through people's mindset and touches their hearts. Most of the people I talked to acknowledged what I told them. But one of my relatives still has not withdrawn from the CCP despite my talking to him repeatedly. I will do my best to do better in the future.
Conclusion
I grew up in a poor family with four sisters and brothers. Now I am in my 40's and still do not have much money. When my friends or classmates gather together, many of them look down on me and did not like to talk to me. But I actively talk to them with compassion. Sometimes, they listen, but just to be polite. They didn't really believe what I told them. I felt sad. Master said, "When I come to this ordinary human society, it’s just like checking into a hotel for a few days. Then I leave in a hurry." (Zhuan Falun) While living here for these few days, I should believe in Master and Dafa and do my best to save sentient beings with a compassionate heart. I believe these fourteen-plus years of Fa rectification will be a most brilliant page of history, as we walked through it together with Master.
