(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 30 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 26 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 41 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tianjin] Several Practitioners Arrested

During the evening of February 28, 2012, and through to the next morning, several Tianjin practitioners were arrested. Ms. An Chunrong was arrested that evening in her jewelry store by officers from the Banchang Road Police Station. The police ransacked the home of Ms. An's sister, Ms. An Chunyun, and confiscated a computer, printer, disks, staplers, and other personal belongings. Ms. An Chunyun escaped. Ms. An Chunrong was taken to the Dagang Detention Center.

The police went to a drug store and harassed the owner, who was a practitioner.

At 9:00 p.m. on February 28, the police broke into Ms. Bai Shuqin's home and arrested her. Ms. Bai was taken to the Banchang Road Police Station and released the next day.

Two officers went to Mr. Han Tieqiang's home in the Dagang Oil Field on February 27 and tried to deceive Mr. Han into opening his door, but he refused. At 7:00 a.m. on February 29, Mr. Han was arrested. His wife Ms. Xu Hua escaped.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lin Yuqin Incarcerated in Liaoning Women's Prison

Ms. Lin Yuqin, 62, lives in Yangtun Village, Xuling Town, Zhuanghe, Dalian City. She was arrested on May 24, 2008, and sentenced to three years in prison. She is incarcerated in the Liaoning Women's Prison.

3. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wu Jiajun Arrested

Mr. Wu Jiajun was arrested on February 28, 2012 and his home was ransacked.

4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wei Yuhui Detained

Mr. Wei Yuhui was arrested on February 26, 2012 and taken to the Laoting County Detention Center.

5. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhong Shulan Arrested

Ms. Zhong Shulan was arrested on the morning of February 27, 2012, by plainclothes officers and taken to the Jiaotong Police Station. At noon, three officers from the station ransacked Ms. Zhong's home and confiscated several truth clarification leaflets, two new MP3 players, and other personal belongings. Ms. Zhong was taken to a detention center and later released because she did not pass the physical.

6. [Botou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Shuicai and Several Other Practitioners Arrested and Harassed

On the morning of February 25, 2012, officers from the Bo Town Police Station went to Mr. Zhang Shuicai's home, but Mr. Zhang was not there. The officers deceived his parents into calling him back home and then arrested him. Mr. Zhang is being held at the Botou Detention Center. The officers later went to Ms. Xiang's home and confiscated three boxes of disks.

Botou police officers went to Mr. Yin Jian's home on the morning of February 25, 2012, and ransacked it. Mr. Yin was not home at the time. His ailing parents were terrified. The officers went to his workplace on February 28, but Mr. Yin was not at work. The officers arrested his wife instead.

On the morning of February 25, 2012, officers from the Hedong Police Station went to Ms. Zhang Zhenlan's store and arrested her along with her son. The police confiscated 30 boxes of disks. Ms. Zhang's son was later released.

The Botou police also confiscated a copier, three printers, and 30 boxes of disks from Fu Town in Botou City.

7. [Beijing] Ms. Ma Chaoyu Arrested

Ms. Ma Chaoyu was taken away on the evening of February 28, 2012, by personnel from the Residential Committee and a local police officer.

8. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Zhihua Arrested and Released

Mr. Zhang Zhihua was arrested on the afternoon of February 28, 2012, by officers from the Binbei Police Department. He was released later that night.

9. [Rongcheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Fengting Hospitalized

Ms. Liu Fengting recently fell off her bicycle and lost consciousness. The police found Falun Gong informational materials on her, and monitored her. She is now in the Rongcheng Hospital.

10. [Jinxiang County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Peiying Detained

Ms. Wang Peiying, nearly 70, was arrested on February 26, 2012, by officers from the Yushan Town Police Station, while she was distributing Falun Gong informational materials in the Jinxing Economic Zone. She is being held at the Jinxiang County Detention Center. The police forced her family to pay 600 yuan for her living expenses.

11. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Xiuzhi Taken to a Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Li Xiuzhi, from Heishui Town, Jianping County, Chaoyang City, was sentenced to 15 months of forced labor on February 23, 2012. She is being held at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

12. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Huidong and Ms. Zhang Dongmei Arrested

Ms. Zhao Huidong, from the Wenming Community, Kuiwen District, was reported on the morning of February 28, 2012, while speaking with people about Falun Gong. Officers from the Guangwen Police Station followed her home and arrested her. The officers also confiscated photos of Falun Gong's founder, Falun Dafa books, and other personal belongings.

Ms. Zhang Dongmei was arrested at work on the morning of February 28, 2012.

13. [Anda City, Heilongjiang Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Ms. Gao Fenglin

Ms. Gao Fenglin was reported by Yu Huapeng on February 27, 2012, while she was speaking with people about Falun Gong and handing out Shen Yun DVDs. Yu Huapeng colluded with police officers to arrest Ms. Gao. She is being held at the Anda City Detention Center.

14. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Zhaofu Detained for Over Five Months

Mr. Liu Zhaofu has been held for over five months in the Jiaohe Detention Center, as of February 28, 2012. He has been deprived of family visits. The police are collecting false evidence to submit to the Jiaohe Procuratorate, in order to get Mr. Liu imprisoned.

Mr. Liu's family couldn't find a local lawyer who would defend Falun Gong practitioners. After much effort, they hired a lawyer from out of town. However, the Jiaohe Justice Bureau and the Jiaohe City Court created many obstructions for them and tried to stop the lawyer from defending them.

15. [Botou City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested and Their Homes Ransacked

The Botou Police Department dispatched about 40 officers on the morning of February 25, 2012, to go to the homes of Mr. Wang Xiaodong, Ms. Yao Xiuyi, and Ms. Wang Junling. The police ransacked all three homes and arrested Mr. Wang Xiaodong, Ms. Zhang Zhenmei, and Mr. Yao Haimang. Ms. Yao Xiuyi, and Ms. Wang Junling escaped. Ms. Wang Junling and her husband had to leave home to escape arrest.

The items confiscated from Mr. Wang Xiaodong's home included two computers, two printers, a video recorder, a hole puncher, a paper cutting tool, Shen Yun DVDs, photos of Falun Gong's founder, Dafa books, and over 20,000 yuan in cash.

The items confiscated from Ms. Yao Xiuyi's home included three computers, a printer, three MP3 players, Dafa books, photos of Falun Gong's founder, and a trunk.

The items confiscated from Ms. Wang Junling's home included two computers, a carving machine, two printers, a paper cutting tool, photos of Falun Gong's founder, Dafa books, a recorder, and other personal belongings.

On the afternoon of February 25, the police released Ms. Zhang Zhenmei on bail pending trial after her family paid 20,000 yuan. Mr. Wang Xiaodong and Mr. Yao Haimang are being held at the Botou City Detention Center.

16. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jin Chunshi Released after Money Extorted

Officers from the Fushun City Domestic Security Division and the Xinbin Town Police Station arrested Mr. Jin Chunshi at his home in Wuli Village, Xinbin County, Funshun, on the morning of February 29, 2012. Mr. Jin was released in the afternoon after 5,000 yuan was extorted from him.

17. [Yiyuan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Gong Fanghui and Ms. Pan Xinling Taken into Custody

Ms. Gong Fanghui and Ms. Pan Xinling were arrested while distributing Shen Yun DVDs on the evening of February 27, 2012. The police ransacked Ms. Pan's home that night and confiscated her Dafa books. The police ransacked Ms. Gong's home on the morning of February 28. Both practitioners are being held at the Criminal Brigade and were interrogated.

18. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Additional Information on the Arrests of Mr. Zhao Yu'an and Three Other Practitioners

Mr. Zhao Yu'an and six other practitioners were arrested in September 2011. Three of them have been released. Mr. Zhao, Mr. Zhang Baosheng, and Ms. Wang Jinyu are being held at the Acheng No. 1 Detention Center. Ms. Cheng Baoying is being held at the Harbin No. 2 Detention Center.

19. [Jinlin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Tang Xiulan Arrested and Her Home Ransacked

Ms. Tang Xiulan, in her sixties, was arrested by plainclothes officers while she was distributing Shen Yun DVDs. She was taken from her home in handcuffs to the Linjiang Police Station that afternoon. Her home was ransacked and the officers confiscated Dafa books, Shen Yun DVDs, amulets, three MP3 players, a cellphone, Falun Gong informational materials, and 200 yuan in paper money that had truth-clarifying words written on it.

20. [Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Jiang Fulin Being Held at the Wuchang Detention Center

Mr. Jiang Fulin, 65, is from Shanhe Town, Wuchang City. He was reported for speaking with people about Falun Gong in Xingwang Village on February 27, 2012. Officer Wang Yanping from the Shanhe Police Department arrested him and took him to the police department. Several officers including Han Xiaoning ransacked Mr. Jiang's home that afternoon and confiscated Dafa books. Mr. Jiang is being held at the Wuchang Detention Center.

21. [Rushan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yu Yingzuo Taken to a Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Yu Yingzuo was arrested and taken to a detention center by officers from the Domestic Security Division on February 13, 2012. He was recently sentenced to two years of forced labor and taken to the Shandong Province No. 2 Men's Forced Labor Camp without his family being notified.

22. [Xihua County, Henan Province] Mr. Wang Gangshan's Arrest Ratified

Mr. Wang Gangshan, from Houwang Village, Tiankou Town, Xihua County, was reported for distributing Falun Gong informational materials on February 2, 2012. Yang Dayong, the Xihua County Domestic Security Division chief, along with instructor Zhao Shuguang, arrested him and took him to the detention center. The Procuratorate recently ratified his arrest.

23. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qiu Liying Being Held in a Detention Center

24. [Yangquan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Bai Fengzhong and Two Other Practitioners Facing Trial

Mr. Bai Fengzhong, Mr. Wang Xuzhou, Ms. Zhu Guiling, and Mr. Bai Jianping were arrested at home on November 26, 2011, by officers from the Pingding County 610 Office and the Pingding County Police Department. They are being held at the Pingding County Detention Center and the Yangquan City Detention Center. Mr. Bai Fengzhong, Mr. Wang, and Ms. Zhu's trial is on the morning of March 9, 2012.

25. [Funing County, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Cai Shouren and Mr. Cai Shoujun Arrested and Their Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Cai Shouren and Mr. Cai Shoujun were reported for speaking with people about Falun Gong on February 29, 2012. They were later arrested by officers from the Funing County 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division. Their current whereabouts are unknown.

26. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] More Than Ten Practitioners Arrested

More than 20 people including the mayor of Qifengdu Town, and Duan Lingfeng, the Qifengdu Town Police Station director, broke into the home of Ms. Li Xiao'ai on the morning of February 24, 2012. They arrested more than ten practitioners and took them to the Qifengdu Town Police Station. Among those arrested were Ms. Li Xiao'ai, Ms. Lei Yuanzhu, Ms. Lei Dongdi, Ms. Li Xinju, Ms. Li Shucai, Ms. Kuang Xianglan, and Ms. Chen Jianmei. Eight of them are over 60 years old and the oldest is in her eighties. One practitioner and her two-year-old child were held at the police station for more than three hours. Ms. Li Xiao'ai and Ms. Chen Jianmei are being detained and the rest were released in the afternoon. Ms. Li Xiao'ai's Dafa books were confiscated.

27. [Tianjin] Several Practitioners Harassed

Six people from the Douzhangzhuang Town Government and Police Station went to Ms. Gao Jianling's home in Zhongshuangmiao Village on the evening of February 15, 2012. They knocked on the door but no one opened it. They then climbed a wall and got into the yard to harass the family.

That evening, they went to Mr. Wang Shuwang's home in Zhouliying Village to harass them. They also harassed Ms. Li Baolan and Ms. Liu Jinfeng by calling their home phones.

28. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wu Jiajun's Home Ransacked

The police ransacked Mr. Wu Jiajun's home in Wujia Village on the evening of February 28, 2012, and confiscated printers, computers, and a large quantity of other personal belongings.

29. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Mr. Han Yueqing Detained

Mr. Han Yueqing, from Raoyang County, was arrested and taken to the Raoyang County Police Department on February 23, 2012. He is being held at the Raoyang Detention Center.

30. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Mr. Lu Xuegong and Ms. Yang Wenling Harassed

Eight officers from the Linqu County Domestic Security Division and the Yeyuan Town Police Station went to Mr. Lu Xuegong's home and confiscated an MP3 player, Dafa books, Shen Yun DVDs, and photos of the Teacher of Falun Gong. The 96-year-old senior was terrified. The police also went to Ms. Yang Wenling's home and harassed her.

Ms. Sheng Yanling was arrested on February 27, 2012, while returning home from work. She is being held at the Domestic Security Division of the Tumen Police Department.

Ms. Jiang was arrested on the afternoon of February 28, while working at a food court. In the Domestic Security Division, four officers took turns beating Ms. Jiang. They also deprived her of sleep and attempted to extort a confession from her through torture. Ms. Jiang's whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Wang Jiaxiu was arrested at a chicken farm by officers from the Tumen Domestic Security Division on February 29, 2012. She is being held at the Domestic Security Division of the Tumen Police Department.

32. [Huairen County, Shanxi Province] Mr. Yang Heping Detained

Mr. Yang Heping was arrested on February 29, 2012, by officers from the Huairen Domestic Security Division. He is being held at a detention center.
