(Minghui.org) May 13, 2012 marks the 20th anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public and World Falun Dafa Day. On May 4, 2012, Greg Goodnight, Mayor of the City of Kokomo, Indiana, proclaimed May 13, 2012, as Falun Dafa Day in the City of Kokomo, Indiana.

PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, Falun Dafa is an advanced exercise and meditation practice of mind, body and spirit based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance; and,

WHEREAS, Falun Dafa transcends cultural and racial boundaries and contributes to the universal dream of a peaceful, tolerant and more compassionate society; and,

WHEREAS, Falun Dafa, publicly introduced by Mr. Li Hongzhi in 1992, is now practiced and cherished by over 100 million people in over 100 countries and has received a plethora of honors; and,

WHEREAS, numerous practitioners of Falun Dafa are persecuted in China for their teachings; and,

WHEREAS, Indiana residents participate in the global effort in peacefully appealing for freedom and human rights for those in need;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Greg Goodnight, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF KOKOMO, INDIANA, do hereby proclaim May 13, 2012, as

“FALUN DAFA DAY”

in the City of Kokomo, Indiana.
