(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 26 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 23 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 22 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Mr. Xu Guijun and his wife, Ms. Ban Huijuan, were heavily sentenced to 12 years in prison in June 2002. Mr. Xu is being incarcerated in Gongzhuling Prison in Jilin Province, while 45-year-old Ms. Ban is in the Jilin Women’s Prison. Their son is 15 years old.

Ms. Huang Youfeng, 60 years old, was arrested by patrols from the Nanan District because she talked to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of March 17, 2012. Now she is to be sent to the Nanan Detention Center.

8. [Suning County, Hebei Province] Ms. Hu Yanxiang and Her Family Persecuted

Ms. Hu Yanxiang lives in Xishdi Village, Shangcun Township, Suning County. On March 15, 2012, Wang Zhiyuan, deputy chief of the Suning Domestic Security Division, called Ms. Hu and asked her to pay a deposit. She did not go. Wang Zhiyuan and others ransacked her home and took away Falun Dafa books, DVDs, an MP3 player, etc. He also warned Ms. Hu's family to tell her to go to the police department for questioning, otherwise she would be criminally detained, which greatly distressed Ms. Hu's family.

Ms. Liang Zhonghua was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of March 16, 2012. She was taken away by officers from the Jinsheng Police Station. Now she is in the Taiyuan Detention Center.

Officers from the Guaziping Police Station in the Dong District, Panzhihua, arrested about 50-year-old Ms. Wang Zhengxian on the night of March 16, 2012. The police ransacked her home and took her Falun Gong books. Ms. Wang is being detained in the Guaziping Police Station.

12. [Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Additional Information about the Arrests of Ms. Zhao Yunfeng and Two Other Falun Gong Practitioners

On February 23 and 24, 2012, officers from the Kuangqu 610 Office and the local police station ransacked the homes of Ms. Zhao Yunfeng, Ms. Wang Pingwen, and Ms. Zhang Suyun. The three practitioners were taken to Qingliangshan, west of Kuangqu,for “transformation.” At that time, Ms. Wang was taking care of her two-year-old grandson. The officers took Ms. Wang and her grandson to Qingliangshan and detained them for 15 days. Ms. Zhao, who is about 70 years old, was released after being detained for 20 days.

On the night of March 16, 2012, Mr. Huang Jianhua and Ms. Shen Xiufang from the Zhabei District were taken away from their home. Ms. Xiao Zhang, who went to their home to visit, was also taken away.

Officers from the Xinhua Police Station in Zhuanghe broke into Ms. Yu Ziyang's home on March 15, 2012, to harass her. Ms. Yu was harassed by the police last year and the police took away her Dafa books.

Ms. Tian Zhongfeng was arrested by officers from the Baohe District 610 Office while she was talking to people about Falun Gong on the evening of February 5, 2012. Ms. Tian did not cooperate at that time. The officers beat her until she fainted and then dragged her into a vehicle. Ms. Tian has been handcuffed to a chair for many days in the brainwashing center. She has been on a hunger strike. She is now in critical condition.

Ms. Zhan Min from Xinjin, Sichuan Province, was arrested by officers from the Fangcao Police Station on March 16, 2012. She is being detained in the Chengdu Detention Center.

19. [Shenzhen, Guangdong Province] Mr. Liu Jingze Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Mr. Liu Jingze has been detained in the Meilin Detention Center in Shenzhen for more than eight months since he was arrested on June 21, 2011. His family has not been allowed to visit him. Mr. Liu Xiaoguang and Ms. Lu Chunrong were arrested at the same time. It's been said that Mr. Liu Jingze has been sentenced to three years in prison.

20. [Xingtang County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Fengyun and Ms. Xiao Yujun's Home Ransacked

Ms. Wang Fengyun's home was ransacked. The police took away her computer, cell phone, and MP3 player. Ms. Xiao Yujun's computer and cell phone, which are worth more than 1000 yuan, were also taken away.

On March 6 and 7, 2012, officers from the Changxindian Police Station in Fengtai and someone from the Cuicun First Lane Neighborhood Committee went to Ms. Wang Guiqin's home and harassed her. They had claimed they needed to “examine the water proofing.” Another officer took Ms. Wang's picture.

The police also broke into other practitioners' homes, including Ms. Xiao Lianying's home and Ms. Zhao Yuwen's home across the street.

22. [Weifang, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Huidong Still Detained

Ms. Zhao Huidong was detained for 15 days. Her term has ended, but the police still have not released her. Ms. Zhao has been arrested and detained more than ten times. Her grandson, who is at school, and her husband, who has difficulty walking, depend on her totally.

23. [Gaomi, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Xueqin and Ms. Weichi Xiuxia Arrested

Ms. Yang Xueqin from Caigou Town and Ms. Weichi Xiuxia from Sunjiazhuang Village, Hujiazhuang Town, were reported to the police for distributing Falun Gong materials and taking to people about Falun Gong at a farmers' market in Caigou Town on the morning of March 14, 2012. Officers from the Caigou Police Station took them away. Now they are being detained in the Gaomi Detention Center.

24. [Mian County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhao Xiulan Arrested

On the night of March 8, 2012, the police ransacked 66-year-old Ms. Zhao Xiulan's home, but they did not find any Falun Gong materials. They said they would send Ms. Zhao to a forced labor camp for two years. On March 17, 2012, the police went to Ms. Zhao's home again to take her away, but she was not at home. Now she has been forced to become homeless.

Mr. Wang Xiaogang; his wife, Ms. Wang Yue'e; and another five or six practitioners from the Binhai Area in Tianjin were recently arrested. They are being detained in the Zhaojiadi Detention Center in Tanggu.

Recently a group of plainclothes policemen went to Dunhuafang in the Xinghualing District, Taiyuan, to follow and watch Ms. Wang Ying and Ms. Zheng Jianying for more than two weeks.

On the morning of March 19, 2012, Jiang Sheng, a national security officer in Wuhe County, grabbed Ms. Wang Ping's bag and made a phone call for assistance. Ms. Wang Ping managed to get away on her bicycle.

Ms. Wang had been sentenced to two years' forced labor last July. She was taken to the Anhui Women's Forced Labor Camp. She went on a hunger strike for more than three months and was released last October.

30. [Qixia, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Zaifu's Home Ransacked

Mr. Liu Zaifu lives in Menggou Village, Xicheng, Qixia. His home was ransacked on March 17, 2012. The police took his TV, refrigerator, and other property. Mr. Liu has most likely been forced to leave his home.

31. [Yantai, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Runlan Arrested

Ms. Wang Runlan from Laiyang, Yantai, was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on March 19, 2012. She was taken away and her home was ransacked.

32. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Shuxian Sent to the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp for a One-Year Term

33. [Baoding, Hebei Province] Follow-Up on the Persecution of Ms. Qi Shuying

Ms. Qi Shuying is a teacher in the Baoding Institute in Hebei Province. She was arrested by officers from the Wusilu Police Station in Baoding on February 25, 2012. She is being detained in the Baoding Detention Center.

Ms. Qi Shuying's husband, Mr. Liu Yongwang, was sentenced to eight years in prison because he practices Falun Gong. He is being incarcerated in Jidong Prison in Hebei Province. Their 13-year-old son, Liu Yuxin, has no one to take care of him.
