(Clearwisdom.net) On August 16, 2011, the 610 Office, Domestic Security Division, and Police Department of Huangzhou District, Huanggang, Hubei Province sent a team of officers to arrest 14 Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners Lin Zeqing, Xiong Xiulian, and Hu Jun are still being detained. After Xiong Xiulian was arrested, her son had no means of support and has barely survived.

Personnel participating in this arrest include Wan Huiya (female), Du Zhao (male), and Xiong Minghua. Their main purpose for arresting and detaining practitioners was for extortion.

During Xiong Xiulian's illegal arrest, police broke into her home and then ransacked it while no one was present. They confiscated all the Dafa books, pictures of Dafa's founder Master Li Hongzhi, two computers, one printer, three cellphones, two MP3 players, and Ms. Xiong's bank savings certificates. Every purse in her home was unzipped, and all the money was taken except for some small change. The exact amount of cash and bank savings certificates taken was undetermined. The police also confiscated all three bank savings certificates of Ms. Xiong's deceased husband.

Officials later released nine practitioners over a period of time. The remaining five practitioners include Shen Mingqing, Shen Zhi, Hu Jun, Xiong Xiulian, and Lin Zeqing. On August 20, they were taken to the notorious Banqiao Brainwashing Center to undergo additional persecution, which continued for nearly three months. The brainwashing session ended in November. Wan Huiya and Du Zhao then transferred the five practitioners to the First Detention Station in Huanggang. Shen Zhi and Shen Mingqing were finally released in December.

When Ms. Xiong's family went to the authorities and requested her release, Wan Huiya told them that Ms. Xiong had presented no problems and guaranteed her release – yet they continued to detain her. On January 17 and 19, 2012, Ms. Xiong's family visited the authorities again, with continuous requests for her release. Wan Huiya said, “It will take additional procedures.” She was indirectly suggesting, “Someone has to send money or merchandise.” Ms. Xiong's family refused to be extorted, so the officials didn't release her.

On the morning of February 5, Ms. Xiong's family went yet again to request her release. The Domestic Security Division was conducting a meeting at that time, so they found someone outside to let them in. Wan Huiya hadn't received money from Ms. Xiong's family during the Chinese New Year, so she pointed to the family and said, “Here are the shrews from the countryside.” She claimed that the family was disrupting her work. Ms. Xiong's family replied, “You arrested her, so we have to ask you to release her.” One of the officers said, “This approach won't work. Don't you have other ways to get her released?” They were suggesting again that they would release Ms. Xiong only after receiving some form of illegal payment.

Ms. Xiong's family said to the officials, “You ransacked our home and took all our money. We are farmers and have no money, nor do we have anything else to give you.” Wan Huiya said, “We are still celebrating the New Year, otherwise, I'd arrest and kill you.” Ms. Xiong's family replied to Wan Huiya, “You persecute innocent people for money, and you will receive retribution.” Wan Huiya shouted back, “I and Du Zhao will wait for the retribution.”
