(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6 provinces. In the report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 11 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Ms. Liu Hongyan, her sisters Ms. Liu Hongxia and Ms. Liu Honghui, and her brother-in-law Mr. Liu Guangjun were arrested on April 27, 2011.

After being held in the Jilin City Detention Center for eight months, Ms. Liu Hongyan was secretly put on trial, without her family's knowledge. She was later taken to the Jilin Provincial Women's Prison. The prison authorities called the family on January 15, 2012, and informed them that Ms. Liu Hongyan was being held there. The family went to the prison to visit her, but the guards did not allow them to meet with her.

The whereabouts of Ms. Liu Hongxia, Ms. Liu Honghui and Mr. Li Guangjun are unknown.

2. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sheng Yi Held in Qiqihar City First Detention Center

Ms. Sheng Yi, in her 50s, a teacher at the Primary School of Qiqihar Sugar Factory in her 50s, was persecuted by the 610 Office and the authorities at her workplace many times. She explained the facts about Falun Gong at her workplace in April 2010. As a result, the workplace authorities sent her to the Qiqihar City First Detention Center and had her detained there. No further information about Ms. Sheng has been received since then.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ren Hongying Held in Shenyang City Detention Center

Ms. Ren Hongying is being held in Shenyang City Detention Center. No other details are available.

4. [Beijing] Mr. Cao Zhicheng and His Wife, Ms. Zhang Xiao, Arrested

Mr. Cao Zhicheng and his wife, Ms. Zhang Xiao, from Xinfadi, Fengtai District, Beijing, were arrested at home by Gong Yingcai and other officers from the Domestic Security Division on January 17, 2012.

5. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Liping and Two Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Liping and two other practitioners from Zhangdian District, Zibo City, were arrested by officers from the Sibaoshan Police Station for handing out materials about Falun Gong in public. Practitioners were sent to the Zibo City Detention Center, where guards shocked Ms. Wang in her mouth with an electric baton in an attempt to force her to tell them who had printed the materials.

6. [Dongying, Shandong Province] Binhai Police Ransacked Homes of Four Practitioners

Officers from the Binhai Police Department's Binbei Branch of Shandong Shengli Oil Field ransacked the homes of Mr. Li Xuerong, Mr. Long Lianjing, Ms. Li Aifang and Ms. Su on the afternoon of January 14, 2012.

They attempted to arrest Mr. Long and Ms. Li but did not succeed. Ms. Su and Mr. Li were not at home and avoided arrest.

The officers confiscated a laptop computer from Mr. Long's home. They also broke into Ms. Su's home and took her computer and other items.

7. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhen Hai Arrested, His Home Ransacked

Mr. Zhen Hai from Linzhang was arrested by four or five agents from the Joint Defense Team for handing out materials about Falun Gong in Maying Village, Zhangliji Township, between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on January 15, 2012. Officers Zhang Xuming, Liu Liang and others ransacked Mr. Zhen's home on the afternoon of January 17, 2012.

Ms. Wang Mingxiu, about 60, and Ms. Yang Yumin, also about 60, from Rizhao City were recently arrested for explaining the facts about Falun Gong at the Daji Market in Qinlou.

9. [Beijing] Multiple Practitioners Arrested in Huairou District

Officers from Huairou District, Beijing, arrested Ms. Wen Yuhong, Ms. Jia Cuihuan, Ms. Wang Baohua, Ms. Sun Guiqing and several other practitioners on the evening of November 17, 2011. Ms. Shen Ran, 37, a previous resident of Shanghai, was also arrested.
