Additional Persecution News from China – February 10, 2012 (7 Reports)

(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in seven cities or counties in five provinces. In this report, two Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least six practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Dewei Arrested

Officers from the Zhugou Police Station in Pingdu City, Qingdao City illegally arrested Mr. Li Dewei, from Dishang Village, Rizhuang Town, Laixi City, on the morning of February 8, 2012 in Shantou Village. That afternoon, plainclothes officers broke into Ms. Guo Xiuhua's home in Shantou Village and took a TV, two printers, a DVD burner, three laptop computers, two cell phones, one receiver, a satellite dish, DVDs, materials about Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and other items.

2. [Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qiu Hong Held in Fengcheng Detention Center

Officers from the Simenzi Town Police Station in Fengcheng City arrested Ms. Qiu Hong at her home in Xinnong Village, Simenzi Town and took her to the Fengcheng Detention Center on the morning of February 9, 2012.

3. [Tianjin] Mr. Song Zhenhai from Xin District, Binhai Arrested by Officers from Tianjin Domestic Security Division

4. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Guifa Arrested and His Home Ransacked

Qin Chao, Liu Qingxiang and others from the Jia Town 610 Office, as well as several officers from the Jia Town Police Station in Guan County arrested Mr. Liu Guifa and took him to the Guan County Detention Center. They confiscated Mr. Liu's Falun Gong books, TV, DVD player, and his son's computer.

5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tan Zhiying and Ms. Liu Bianqin Arrested

Ms. Tan Zhiying and Ms. Liu Bianqin were turned in and taken to the Qingling Police Station in Hongshan District for clarifying the facts about Falun Gong near Zhangjiawan Community, Wuchang District on the morning of February 8, 2012. They were transferred to the Dongxihu Women's Education Center the same day.

6. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Ms. Xu Jingui Arrested

Ms. Xu Jingui, 80, is from Wuling District, Changde City. She was arrested by patrol officers from Dingcheng District, Changde for talking about Falun Gong at Changde South Station on February 6, 2012. Her home was also ransacked.

7. [Huizhou City, Guangdong Province] Additional Information about the Persecution of Ms. Liu Mulan

Ms. Liu Mulan from Wuhan City was arrested by officers from the Sanhe Police Station for handing out materials about Falun Gong in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province on the evening of June 25, 2011. She was sentenced to three years and six months in prison on September 20, 2011, and taken to Guangdong Province Women's Prison on January 12, 2012. Ms. Liu is being monitored around the clock in the prison. Her health condition is poor and her blood pressure is high.
