(Clearwisdom.net) An article posted on the Minghui website on October 30, 2011, discusses how a county in China is compiling its local historical events in the form of chronicles. The editor said, “There should be no mention of the 610 Office and Falun Gong, nor anything about international pressure criticizing human rights issues in China. The draft of the chronicles made mention of Falun Gong, but those sections had to be re-edited.”

Historical records are meant to be truthful and be a record of all significant events. Zhang Xuecheng who lived during the Qing Dynasty said, “A real historical record chronicles everything that happens in any country at any time.”

Chronicles are meant to record all of what happened, not to add interpretation or comment. They are meant to express morality and justice, record everything from ancient through modern times, and to honor good deeds and merit. They record natural occurrences and social customs, good points and bad points, so that future generations may benefit from lessons learned in the course of history, so as to not repeat mistakes again. Hence, those who write historical records in the form of chronicles must be objective, impartial, and record things as they are. Only this way can true history be recorded for future generations.

In ancient China, historians, such as Dong Hu from the state of Jin and the three brothers from the state of Qi, viewed being truthful in recording history as their unassailable duty. They did not cower when threatened with political power or violence. It is because of historians like them that a complete and credible history of China and some other parts of the world has been preserved.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) maintains its shaky reign through lies, deception and violence. During its sixty years of heavy-handed rule, more than eighty million Chinese people died unnatural and untimely deaths. The CCP also destroyed Chinese traditional virtues such as respecting nature and caring for others; virtues that were passed down for generations. An evildoing regime like the CCP doesn't want to hear or see the truth, and definitely will not tolerate its people truthfully recording its history.

To sing its own praises, the CCP ordered its administrative machinery above the county level to compile historical records over the past years. The chronicles should record major events in each county and cover all administrative departments and their functions, also recording the names of those in supervisory positions.

Why then is the 610 Office excluded? The 610 Office blindly carries out orders that come directly from the CCP. They do so without ever questioning the orders. Why is this not recorded in the annals of history?

The 610 Office does as ordered and will do anything and everything possible to crack down on Falun Gong. Why should its deeds and even its very existence not be recorded in local chronicles? Former CCP leader Jiang Zemin and his regime mobilized the entire state apparatus to crack down on Falun Gong for the past 12 years. Why should knowledge of this be suppressed?

Why Can't Historical Records Mention the 610 Office?

The CCP has always denied the existence of the 610 Office when asked by foreign reporters. To hide its existence, the CCP repeatedly changed the official name of the 610 Office. The CCP is well aware that the 610 Office is an illegal organization and uses any means at its disposal to hide it from the public.

The staff of the 610 Office abandoned their conscience out of greed and refused to listen to warnings from Falun Gong practitioners concerning future reprisal. These people often suffer karmic retribution for evil deeds they performed under direction from the CCP. Yet, the CCP was and is too ashamed to acknowledge their existence.

Looking at it from another angle, the CCP mostly delivers directives and orders to persecute Falun Gong verbally. Why only verbally? Because it doesn't want to leave behind written evidence about its connection to the 610 office. Thus the CCP cannot allow any historical record to be made available documenting its achievements in cracking down against Falun Gong. They fear that when Falun Gong is redressed in the future, these so-called 'achievements' will become the evidence of the crimes it has committed against Falun Gong.

Despite Its Many Names, the True Nature of the 610 Office Is Clear

The 610 Office is officially called “the CCP Central Leading Committee for Handling Falun Gong Issues.” Because it was established on June 10, 1999, it is called the 610 Office. It is an illegal unit that exists throughout all levels of central, provincial and local governmental offices, and it was created for the sole purpose of persecuting Falun Gong.

It is similar to the “Central Cultural Revolution Leading Committee” that existed forty years ago and the Gestapo of Nazi Germany. As many of the 610 Office crimes were exposed to international society, the CCP changed its title to “Office of Prevention,” then to “General Administrative Office,” followed by the name of “Office of Social Stability.”

During the past twelve years, the 610 Office's authority supersedes even the Chinese constitution. It manipulates the Chinese regime's mouthpieces at all levels for the purpose of slandering and framing practitioners.

The 610 Office spent an enormous amount of money building brainwashing centers nationwide and even controlled and still controls all legal, prosecutorial, and judicial systems, in its effort to persecute practitioners relentlessly.

The Persecution of Falun Gong and the 610 Office

Numerous practitioners were arrested and tens of thousands were sentenced to prisons or forced labor camps. There are more than 3,500 confirmed deaths, with most having died form torture. There are over 100 torture methods, such as forcing pregnant practitioners to abort their unborn children, injecting practitioners with nerve-damaging drugs, shocking with high-voltage electric batons and pulling nails off fingers and toes. In 2006, witnesses exposed hidden camps where organs were removed from living practitioners and the organs were sold for profit. The brutality of this may well be remembered as the most shocking crime ever committed during this world's long history.

Those committing such heinous crimes will be tried and punished in the future, even if their crimes were not documented. No matter how the CCP twists right and wrong and keeps the facts hidden from the public, eventually the truth will be known and recorded in the chronicles.

During the Cultural Revolution, the Red Guards were above the law and everyone. They committed horrible crimes, fighting, robbing and killing without any reason. After the Revolution was over, many were arrested and taken to prisons, and many were executed secretly. The CCP killed those who committed their crimes as soon as they were no longer needed.

It is not important if these local chronicles documented the crimes committed by those working for the 610 Office. As long as they actively participated in the persecution, they will not be able to hide forever. The CCP rewrote and distorted China's history, and is forging its own chapter of history in so doing. In the long run, no one will believe any historical record compiled by the CCP.

Evildoing Officials Cannot Escape Retribution for Their Misdeeds

Websites and organizations such as the Falun Dafa information Center, Minghui/Clearwisdom, the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, fawanghuihui.org, and the Global Coalition to Bring Jiang to Justice, have collected reams of cases of persecution in China. The information has achieved worldwide attention. These cases are the true history of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong and their existence is like a sword hanging over the CCP perpetrators.

The top officials of the CCP central 610 Office, Luo Gan and Zhou Yongkang, as well as the heads of many provincial and city 610 Offices, are being prosecuted in many international courts. In November 2009, the Spanish Court indicted Chinese officials Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Jia Qinglin, Wu Guanzheng, and Bo Xilai on charges of genocide and torture because they aggressively participated in the persecution of Falun Gong. Courts in twenty other countries also began to indict these high-ranking officials. Certain countries even banned some of the officials from entering their soil.

Despite the CCP's blockade, the news of the heads of the 610 Offices throughout China dying unexpectedly or contracting fatal illnesses continues to be exposed. The Minghui website reported over 500 cases of agents in 610 Offices receiving karmic retribution. The head of the central 610 Office, Liu Jing, has cancer and many heads of local 610 Offices have died. This is a phenomenon that happens over and over again, so many people call the position of a head of a 610 Office a position of death. Here are some examples:

  • Zhang Shiming, the first director of the 610 Office in Huanggang City, Hubei Province, died of acute myocardial infarction on February 14, 2005 at the age of 48. The second director of the same 610 Office, Wang Kewu, contracted liver cancer and died in April 2005.

  • Li Qun, director of the 610 Office in Yakeshi City, Inner Mongolia, died of cancer. The director after him Lin Haiqing also was afflicted with a terminal illness and had to resign from his office.

  • On November 8, 2004, the director of the 610 Office in Hekou City, Jilin Province, Wang Funian, and three other 610 Office agents were on their way to arrest practitioners. Their vehicle fell off a bridge. Wang and two of the agents died immediately.

  • Men Yijing and Bai Weiquan, directors of the 610 Office in Qingyang County, Gansu Province, were on their way to torture Falun Gong practitioners on January 8, 2003. Their vehicle rolled over and both died.

Many high-ranking CCP officials stowed their ill-gotten gains in overseas bank accounts. They hold foreign passports so that they can escape at any time. Some people are trying to find a way out by collecting evidence that shows them as innocent; forced to carry out the persecution ordered by the 610 Offices. This is possible in some areas where the 610 Offices below the county level were instructed to collect all files and materials related to the persecution of Falun Gong dating all the way back to 1999.

This February, Hong Kong based Front-line Magazine (qian shao yue kan) published an article that contained the former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin's confession. The article was titled “The Two Major Events Jiang Zemin Regretted the Most in His Life.” One of them is the crackdown on Falun Gong. According to an insider, Jiang wrote several remembering-my-father type of articles in his children's name and planned to have them published after his death. He is trying to negate his responsibility in the persecution of Falun Gong.

Even Jiang Zemin, the one who launched the persecution of Falun Gong, is planning a get-away route to avoid the day of reckoning. No wonder that other authorities throughout China are trying to conceal this part of history.

Emperors in ancient China practiced morality and ruled the country prudently because they feared to leave a record of bad deeds in the annals of history. History is the most just and impartial mirror; evil spirits will not be reflected as men of honor. A wicked and ruthless political party like the CCP will also leave a record that recounts its evil deeds despite the great efforts it extends to erase it.

When a new page is turned, those who actively persecute good people will find their names listed in the Column of Shame for eternity, and the people of the future will be able learn a profound lesson from the mistakes these persecutors have made.
