December 22, 2012 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Hebei Province, China

(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Yanqin, 51, was illegally arrested on the morning of October 17, 2012, at her home in Tangzhuang Village, Kouzhuang Township, Qianan City, Hebei Province. Pu Yonglai from the Domestic Security Division led personnel in two vehicles to block both front and back doors to her home in order to arrest her.

Ms. Wang, a farmer, is being detained in a brainwashing center in Qianan, specifically set up to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Ms. Wang's family went to the brainwashing center several times to request her release. However, authorities refused their requests each time.

Ms. Wang's husband has serious cerebral complications and cannot care for himself. When Ms. Wang was taken away, he fell down to ground and could not get up. However, the police turned a blind eye. They ransacked the couple's home and forcibly took Ms. Wang away. Her husband was left without anyone to take care of him.

Persecuted for over a decade

Over the past decade, Ms. Wang has been arrested for her faith in Falun Gong and detained in forced labor camps many times. She was also forced to become homeless and destitute.

One day shortly before 2003, Pu Yonglai, along with Peng Minghui, Ha Fulong, and other officers from the Kouzhuang Township Police Station, grabbed Ms. Wang by the hair and poured gas from a lighter into her mouth. They then ignited the lighter and burned her mouth and tongue. They also brutally beat Ms. Wang; she could barely move even after a week.

Pu Yonglai and officers from the Kouzhuang Township Police Station also arrested Ms. Wang around July 24, 2008. She was first detained in the Qianan Brainwashing Center for 22 days, then transferred to the Qianan Detention Center for 15 days, and then sent back to the brainwashing center for another month. Ms. Wang was released only after authorities extorted 1,000 yuan for meals.

At 9 p.m. on November 29, 2008, only two months after her release, Pu Yonglai, Tang Xueping and several other Kouzhuang policemen broke into Ms. Wang's home and arrested her again. They did not allow her to get dressed, despite the cold weather. The policemen held her by the hair and took turns slapping her face. Ms. Wang was first detained in the Qianan Brainwashing Center for 2 days and then held in the Qianan Detention Center for 15 days. She was still wearing the tank top and shorts that she had worn at the time of her arrest when she was released in December.

Ms. Wang's family is a low-income family. However, the police still extorted money from her child.

Since mid-October 2012, police in Qianan has harassed and arrested many Falun Gong practitioners in their homes.
