1. [Dongning County, Heilongjiang Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested and Taken to a Detention Center

Seven practitioners from Dongning County - Mr. Cao Hongbo, Ms. Lu Yulan, Mr. Wang Xihe, Mr. Liang Junzhi, Mr. Xu Yili, Ms. Zhang Guiqin, and Ms. Xiao Hua - were arrested the evening of January 9, 2012 as they spoke with people about Falun Gong in the Daohe Town countryside. The practitioners are currently held in the Dongning Detention Center.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Additional Information Regarding the Persecution of Mr. Li Xuejun

Sixty-eight-year-old Mr. Li Xuejun from the Daowai District, Harbin City was taken to the Harbin No. 2 Detention Center the morning of January 1, 2012. His family is forbidden to visit him.

Ms. Yin Shurong from Jiudaoling Town was arrested at home on January 15, 2012. Officers from the Yi County Domestic Security Division made the arrest.

4. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Jie Arrested

Ms. Zhang Jie, 58, from the Wanghua District, was arrested the afternoon of January 14, 2012 as she distributed information about Falun Gong. Officers from the Jianshe Police Station made the arrest. She has been transferred to the Guangming Police Station.

5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Zhuyun Arrested

Officers from the Zhengyanghe Police Station in the Daoli District arrested Ms. Wang Zhuyun at home the afternoon of January 13, 2012. They confiscated her computer, printer, Falun Gong books and truth clarification materials.

6. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Ms. Duan Liyuan

Ms. Duan Liyuan, 55, a resident in the Shuxiangmendi Residential area in the Beishi District, was arrested at home the afternoon of January 13, 2012. Eight officers from the Guandu District 610 Office and Domestic Security Division broke into her home and made the arrest. The perpetrators also confiscated Falun Gong books, truth clarification VCDs, computer, printer, copy machine and other personal belongings. Ms. Duan is currently in the Guandu District Detention Center.

7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Persecution of Mr. Li Huosheng

Mr. Li Huosheng from Wuhan was illegally sentenced to five years in prison, but his family hadn't been informed until some time later when they learned that Mr. Li was held in the Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang.

When Mr. Li was held in a detention center, as a result of severe physical abuse and torture, his legs were severely swollen, his face was deformed, and there was a large infected hole in his lower back.
