(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Cao Meilan, a Falun Gong practitioner from the Junshan District of Yueyang City, Hunan Province, and her sister Ms. Cao Xianghui were arrested by the local police on February 24, 2011, and their home was ransacked. Ms. Cao Meilan was arrested again on June 19, 2011 and sent to a brainwashing center. In June 2011, Junshan District 610 Office agents stopped their pension payments.
Two residential committee heads in Qianlianghu Town of Junshan District, Yan Dingji (Chaoyang Community) and Hua Lipei (Yayuan Community), went to Ms. Cao Meilan’s home at 8:00 a.m. on February 24, 2011. When they saw her there, with her her sister Ms. Cao Xianghui, and their aunt, they notified the police. Police agents came in two police vans. They carried out a body search on each woman, ransacked their home, and confiscated personal belongings including cell phones, a VCD player, an image of Falun Gong’s founder, five copies of the book Zhuan Falun, and cash in the amount 300 yuan. Judicature office head Yuan Chunhua continually swore at the practitioners and threatened to beat them.
The agents took Ms. Cao Meilan and Ms. Cao Xianghui to the Cengshan Police Station. They detained Ms. Cao Meilan at the Hubin Detention Center in Yueyang City for five days.
Yuan Chunhua and Hua Lipei broke into Ms. Cao Meilan’s home again on the morning of June 19, 2011, and took her to the Junshan Brainwashing Center. Six police officers forcibly grabbed her hands to place her fingerprints on a previously-prepared statement that stated she was giving up the practice.
In June 2011, Junshan District 610 Office agents stopped Ms. Cao Meilan's and Ms. Cao Xianghui's pensions.
