(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
Many Chinese people have lost their capacity to think independently due to being brainwashed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They not only accept whatever the CCP says, but also work very diligently to reinforce the government's propaganda to brainwash others. They don't realize that there are consequences for supporting the malicious Party in the persecution of Falun Gong. The following are but a few examples.
Yan Zhongmin was a teacher at the Zhonggezhuang Village Daycare in Malianzhuang Town, Laixi City, Shandong Province. In the first couple of years of the persecution, she composed songs and performed on various occasions to defame Falun Gong. Her songs assisted the Party in deceiving people. Yan Zhongmin was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2007. Many believe this to be karmic retribution for persecuting Falun Gong.
Pan Shuiping, the Party secretary of the Wumiao Township government, Jianyang City, Sichuan Province, several times coordinated the arrests of Falun Dafa practitioners and the ransacking of their homes. In November 2006, his illegal actions were exposed on the Clearwisdom website. Instead of re-thinking his wrongdoings, he claimed that he would work harder to persecute Dafa practitioners. He in fact regarded the exposure as an “honor,” which he felt reflected how much he had contributed to the persecution of Falun Dafa (so much so that practitioners from Guangzhou and outside of China publicized his name). Feeling emboldened by this, he asked the Jianyang City government for a promotion.
Pan was diagnosed with throat cancer in late 2006, when he was actively defaming Dafa in the attempt to gain political accolades. After the diagnosis, he reminded his family members who were aware of his illness not to tell anyone, fearing others would say that this was retribution. He has now spent over 10 thousand yuan on treatments and still suffers from the disease and side effects of the treatments.
Cao Huayi is secretary of the Zhaoshi Fort Division Party Committee of the Leishui Transportation Company in Leiyang City, Hunan Province. In April 2006, when he saw a banner affixed to a wall which read: “Heaven is Eliminating the CCP -- Save Yourself by Quitting the CCP and Affiliated Organizations,” he swore at Falun Gong and its practitioners, and he destroyed any truth-clarification materials he encountered. Within a month, Cao's throat started to swell badly, and he was diagnosed with throat caner. He died on August 20, 2006.
Guo Youzhu, head of the security office in Changzhuang Village, Xiong County, Heibei Province, swore at and defamed Dafa through the village broadcasting system in 2005. He refused to listen when practitioners tried to explain the truth about Dafa. During the Beijing Olympics in 2008, he spread defamatory information through the village broadcasting system again and was involved in arresting practitioners. Guo Youzhu was diagnosed with throat cancer in the summer of 2010 and underwent an operation later that year, which cost him over 10,000 yuan. The treatment did not save his life however, as he died on February 27, 2011, at the age of 57.
Cai Peilong was the head of the Politics and Security Department of the Haifeng County Police Station in Guangdong Province. He was active in the persecution of Dafa practitioners and laughed at the truth about Dafa, the persecution, and the evilness of the CCP. He later suffered from throat cancer, which prevented him from talking, and his neck became badly swollen. Even so, Cai Peilong still led the arrests of Dafa practitioners. His health condition rapidly worsened during the Chinese New Year in 2010 and he had to travel to Guangzhou, the provincial capital, to receive more advanced treatments. He died in June 2010.
Ran Lingcai, an official at the Urban Management Department of Shuangcheng Town, Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province, tortured Dafa practitioners with scoldings, beatings, hangings, tyings, and what is referred to as “flying an airplane” in brainwashing sessions run by the Qiulin Company in December 2000. Once, when he was passing by a room, Ran Lingcai saw several female practitioners reading Zhuan Falun inside. He ran into the room and dragged them out into the courtyard, and interrogated them about where they had obtained the book (because police had confiscated Falun Dafa books and materials). The practitioners did not want to tell him, so he severely beat them, until their faces were swollen and covered with bruises. He even used a thin rope to strangle a practitioner, which almost killed her. In June 2003, Ran Lingcai was diagnosed with throat cancer, and he could not eat or drink for an extended period of time. He suffered terribly before he finally died.
Ran Lingcai's agony parallels the torture he inflicted on the Dafa practitioner he was strangling. The story of another persecutor's suffering represents even more closely the suffering of a practitioner he tortured to death.
Zhang Jiaguo, mayor of Macheng City, Hubei Province, was in charge of persecuting Falun Gong in his area. As soon as he became the mayor in March 2001, Zhang Jiaguo intensified the persecution in Macheng. Practitioner Ms. Wang Huajun was arrested on the morning of April 18, 2001. Martial law was imposed in the city at 1:30 p.m. that day, and later that night Ms. Wang was dragged to the square near the city hall, where she was doused with gasoline and burned to death. Later, people noticed a hole in Ms. Wang's neck, clearly cut with a knife. Apparently, the police pierced her throat to prevent her from shouting out for help.
Macheng is a county-level city with a relatively smaller population than an average city. It would be impossible for a Falun Gong practitioner to be killed in such a brutal way in public without explicit instructions from the official in charge, Zhang Jiaguo.
On February 9, 2002, Zhao Jianguo made a speech on Macheng Television about a new wave of arresting Falun Gong practitioners. The very next day he experienced severe pain in his throat. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was diagnosed with a throat tumor. It was strange that his tumor suddenly appeared, but even more unusual was that he fell into a comma after receiving standard anesthesia during his surgery. He suffered for seven years before dying on February 12, 2009, at the age of 53.
It is our hope that these cases will serve as reminders to those who have been following the CCP to spread lies and commit wrongdoings. People are usually more alert to immediate retribution, but in cases of retribution that occurs over long periods of time, people tend to forget about the causes, and attribute them to random misfortune. Luo Jing, the well-known TV news anchor at China Central Television (CCTV), and the most effective “voice” of the CCP in defaming Dafa and inciting hatred toward the peaceful spiritual movement, died of throat cancer as well. It is not likely that his illness was random.
Some persecutors don't believe that they will experience retribution, and consider it a superstitious notion to scare people. They will only acknowledge it when they experience it, but by then it is too late. Yang Ruishi, principal of the Wenming Village School in Sihe Town, Yushu City, Jilin Province, reported a Dafa practitioner to the police, which resulted in the practitioner's imprisonment. Soon after that, Yang Ruishi was diagnosed with throat cancer and died recently. Upon learning about his illness, Yang Yishi said, “I didn't know retribution would come so soon.”
Liu Xingping, a villager from Group Seven of Huanxi Village, Nanxing Town, Guanghan City, Sichuan Province, coordinated and helped in the arrests of Dafa practitioners many times. He defamed Dafa and confused uninformed villagers. His purpose was to safeguard his son-in-law's medical practice because few people would seek his consult and buy medication from him if they became healthy by practicing Falun Gong. Liu Xingping is suffering from throat cancer as well.
It is important to be kind and truthful, and not follow the CCP in spreading hatred toward Falun Dafa and its practitioners.
